A big hello to everyone

I was in need of a change and was torn between a 748 or an RSV.went for a road test and that was it, i had to have one so i collected my 03 rsv the other day and slowly getting used to the beast, just moved from a 650 bandit (had a GSXR,bandit and TDM before) so it's massive grin factor when riding and lots of trips to the garage to check on her.

Did my first long distance on her to Cadwell park for BSB great day and great ride 6 hrs in saddle and no cramps or pains loved every minuite.

Look forward to getting to know you lot

Welcome buddy I sold a 748 for the RSV R never regreted it, luv the bike. Have you had or got a power commander fitted they do transform the bike much smoother to ride. Good luck with the ape get some pics up of the bike ride safe mate Ken.

Hi Ken

Hi Pat

No power commander yet, just an Akrapovic slip-on (which my poor neighbours must hate but I love the noise she makes).

It had the ECU wire mod but ran very rich so i re joined the wire and plan is to get some miles done then re unplug it and see if i can notice the difference.

I had one on my TDM 900 and it made a massive difference ,But I carnt decide what to do first change the gearing, power commander or chip the ECU.

The long term plan is all of them just don't tell the wife lol.

When it eventually stops raining I'll get some pics done.

Welcome m8,not got ma Ape anymore but still hang around like a bad smell, go for the gearing 1 down on front 2 up on rear it keeps the original chain and shortens the wheel base slightly which makes it turn quicker and sorts out the acceleration nicely Talon do good deals on sprockets give aprilia performance a shout cheepest oot there and good luck with her she will become a labour of love.......

Cheers for the advice mate

Just checked out aprilia performance,What a bargain!! so it's a 16 front and 44 rear for me then.

If your not on an APE what you riding now?

oh i went and bought a daytona 675se have a wee look at the photos on ma profile ,got the trackday bug last year and the daytona is better on track and i'm quite a bit faster than i was on the ape , effin loved that bike and spent a bomb on it but the problems i had wi the electrics and other stuff took the shine off it for me but you never know would defo get another one in the future.....
