Hi,
Im new to Caponords and bought my 2013 Travel Pack used last month. I’m not new to motorbikes having owned 57 in 52 years riding. Bought this because my one and only motorcycle injury sustained nearly 2 years ago was very bad (nearly curtains) and now that I’m somehow back on bikes I need something with suspension to cosset my damaged pelvis on bumpy UK roads. So far, so good. It is indeed a “magic carpet” ride, has excellent mid range, handles well and seems well made, with a smooth but rapid motor (out of town).
Faults so far are mysterious air loss from unpunctured front tyre (cured by replacing corroded valve) and ecu red warning light appearing intermittently, usually after 20 mins riding. Goes in next week for diagnostic check.
Dislike the excessively tall saddle even at my near 6 feet, handlebars a bit too high and wide, and engine not too good in town. Also digital instruments all but unreadable and far too fussy - I’ve given up on the rev counter.
However, weather protection is outstanding with added windshield deflector and stability at speed impressive. Not sure what tyres to replace Qualifier II’s with, and tempted to change to 190/55 rear.
