I am looking for some advise on what tyres to go for next. I have got Metzeler Rennsport on my Tuono at the moment but the front has developed a nasty bulge in the middle of the tread so needs to be changed:confused . These have been great tyres with loads of feedback and lots of grip , :doug But i am sure you pros ' s on the site will know of a tyre that is better. Any Ideas ???????????

I think most people on here either go for the metzeler's, pirelli diablo's corsa 3's, 2ct's or pilot powers as a rough summary mate going to me changing my 208 rr's for metzeler within the next few weeks as i her the 208's are **** found they get cold pretty quickly, and in one case on here split across the tyre. :devious

If your happy with the Metzelers why not get the same :dunno you know how they feel regards grip/feedback etc, or do you want something with a bit better longevity :dunno

Maybe worth trying the metzeler sportec M3's if you get on with rennsports they will give you more miles better in the wet and just as good in the dry i'm on my second set now andno problems at all.

Find Michelin 2 ct's a good all round tyre :thumbup

Bags of grip, hard wearing, and if you get caught out great in the wet mate!

As Sharky says mate the Sportec M3 are a tyre ive always trusted, tryin Pilot Powers at the moment, not been out enough to say how good or bad they are yet tho :thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

hi

just has to be bridgestone battleaxe 020 for me. never had any problems, ive put them on every bike i had, plenty grip wet or dry, what ever you feel confident with.diffrent people have diffrent ideas.
Think about this.
Your tire goes from round to flat on the ground constantly moving and flexing, leaning, and flexing, just over and over and over and over. Tires are the absolutely most important piece of safety equiptment on your bike.
Even more important than you, because no matter what you want the bike to do, if the tires dont do their job it wont happen.
Basicly check your pressure often. Every time you stop, feel the tires, for excessive heat, look at them everytime you walk near the bike. Its your only connection to the pavement before you get to test out your gear.
Most blowouts are caused by picking up a nail or other slow leak that allows the tire to get hotter and hotter as it works harder than it can. If you check frequently you more than likely will never experince it.

Theres certainly a lot of passion there but think about this the bridgestone 020 has been suceeded by the BT021 and it's only a sports touring tyre and also the BT014 is more the pure sports tyre and **** load better than the outdated 020 well I've had my say......still think M3's,2CT's and corsa III's are **** load better.

Totally agree with you Sharky, I'm a 2 ct man, but may test corsa 3's once these have worn out :thumbup

I have Continental road attacks on mine, they were already on it but i can't really fault them.
I don't ride fast enough to find the limits of a tyre on the road because im old and slow

Yes have to agree with you millersvr69 after these M3's are finished with then I'm going to have a go at the pirelli's but the way things progress noe adays there could well be a new tyre out by the end of the year when these have gone

cheers :thumbup will have to give them ago next time i change me tyre's

next set of tyers for me are pirelli diablo (not Corsa's) in the colder weather like this you need a less sporting tyre due to the higher amounts of slika in the tyres (i think its slika always get the two mixed up). Basicly it means that the tyre will get softer with less heat in them. When it comes to summer i'll try the diablo Corsa III but untill then a less focsed tyre is going to give you more grip than sport/track tyre

Sorry Rene that wasn't meant to sound like a spelling lesson I just thought you weren't sure what it was called :thumbup Know what I mean :biggrin
