I will be picking up my new Tuono V4 1100 RR in a couple of weeks and I have a couple of questions that have been discussed in other threads but wanted to collect everything here. I plan on mostly doing day rides on the bike - we have some great mountain roads in New Mexico and Colorado to the north. I expect to do about 4 trips of between 3 and 5 days each season. Now to the questions:
  1. The Aprilia OEM bags for the bike have less than 30 liters of combined capacity and from previous experience with a 40 liter setup up, I know that wont work. Hepco and Becker makes some interesting things but all I could find are bags that are also quite small for my bike (2024). The only thing I have found are some bags from Oxford they have a P60R and a P50R setup that do not use mounting brackets, just hang over the seats and attach to the bike with straps. So two related questions:
    1. Does anyone use either of these and will a P60 (60 liters) work on the bike without touching the exhaust on the right?
    2. Is there a better alternative?
    3. Do they stay reasonably secure?
  2. I think the best navigation setup for the bike is a Garmin XT2 and I would like to hear from folks that are using that on this bike. A couple specific questions:
    1. Do you mount the unit in the center, just below the Tuono's TFT display? Does it get in the way? (I would prefer not to mount it directly on the handlebars off to one side)
    2. Aprilia makes a cable/connector to supply power to the unit which looks pretty good and it will shut off power to the Garmin when the ignition is turned off. This is just what I want. Do I need anything else to make this work?
    3. There are a lot of mounts around, I found this Evotech that looks good: Evotech Performance Garmin GPS Mount Aprilia Tuono 660 / V4 2021- - does anyone have experience with this?
    4. I am a Mac user and will be using inRoute as my route planning tool since Garmin Basecamp does not run well on Macs (and the new ones almost not at all). I am familiar with the Tred app and have already loaded it on my iPhone. I plan on using WiFi to send the files to the XT2. I would be interested in hearing from people what they do.

Thanks very much.
