Local dealer wants £75.00 for map 2 though.

Anyone found the suspenders wallowy? my only dissapointment with it at the minute but a rebuild will sort that out.

Hello and welcome.

Enjoy the bike you wont be disappointed, the map 2 makes a big difference as well as swapping to a 15T front sprocket so get it done.

Hello and greetings , but 75 quid????????????????? What a thief whose doing it Gordon Brown ???????????
Tenner maybe 15 quid of a job

cost me fifty quid at premier bikes near donny
If these dealers want your business in the future they should do it for bloody free. Or at a reasonable rate. A typical dealer charges maybe £40-£45 an hour. It takes 15 minutes max to swap maps, litteraly the time it takes to make and sup a brew. So it should cost a relative amount, ie £10-£15. My dealer[motorcycle centre orrell] did it for free with the free first service. Merseyside Aprilia charged £11 when I had my RSVR. Maybe crack on your gonna buy a load of stuff off them and casually drop in " how much to change maps mate?" sort of thing.
Some dealers are damn scoundrels but most are sound.
Ring around, but dont let them take your keks down.

I'm waiting for my exhausts to come and taking the bike to a well known guy who has set bikes up for the isle of man and some well known racers, spoke to his staff today as he's away and they seem to think that they can do it all though I will wait and see what the actual guy says.
I'm not paying £75.00 for a map change, they say they need to calibrate the air fuel ratios (isn't that the job of the map !!!!!) or if I bought the exhausts from them it would be done for (free)
When my suspension is set up I'll have the map changed at the same time if he can do it and only £40.00 to set the suspenders up, a lot more work than changing the map.

Can be a bit fiddly setting the ride up correctly for you. Might have to go out once or twice to make sure its ok. Watch what they do and take it in for future reference :thumbup

I've tried setting it up for myself and have put it back to stock after a bouncy castle moment in a sharp left hand off camber corner!!!! ( I couldn't resist turning those shiny dials a bit!! )
It's my only dissapointment with the bike ( I didn't have the money for the factory )
Has anybody had their stock R suspenders rebuilt? I've thought it might be the fork oil in the front as nothing changes when I adjust the damping? bike had next to no miles on it when I bought it last week although had been stood for a long while.

Gotta love that v twin grunt though.

I've told the misses I have to get the suspension right before she can have a go on the back, I'm quickly running out of excuses for her, any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

Get the set up done and tell her you have to run it in again for a 1000+ miles again. :thumbup
