Hello All,
I have had my RSV for a week now. Came from a ZZR1100 and have been more than impressed with this bike. Done about 500 miles so far and can say it was a little tricky getting used to a big twin, wow that is some engine braking, but the pull on this thing is amazing. Anyway just wanted to say hello and I really like the look of your site.
Cheers,
Alan.

Welcome !! :eatcorn

wow... thats praise indeed from a x-monster midranger of a ZZR 11 !!

had mine for about 6 weeks... had ago on my old XJR... another torque monster... the Mille engine is very deceptively quick... aint it... the engine just doesnt feel rushed in any way... the only giveaway is the tiny little dots of vehicles in the mirrors behind you !! :biggrin

Welcome to the zone fella. Is your bike on standard gearing? You'll find a whole new meaning to the words "smiles per miles" by simply changing the gearing on these bikes as they're way over geared as standard. 17/42 is a standard on your model. Go for a 15 tooth front sprocket or 16/44 with a new 110 link chain if your chain and sprockets are worn

Thanks for the welcome everyone,
RSV Twin, you are right these bikes are very quick with very little effort. It seems to rev so easily and on the motorway it just purrs along at a quick pace. The main difference over the ZZR is the handling never had a bike that turns as well as this.
LEGS, not had a chance to pull it apart yet but I will look into the gearing thanks for the advice.

My only problem could be the exhaust it is marked "not for road use". Not sure what the old bill would do about it if I got stopped. Does anyone know if you can get points for something like that? I got the original system with the bike but really like the look of the twin can set up. I dont think it is very loud and the old owner got it though an MOT with them fitted.

Anyway thanks again,
Alan.
