Hi guys,

I've been lurking for awhile and decided that I should introduce myself (getting tired of the friggin message telling me to post a message). A couple of months ago a ran into a screamin good deal for a 2008 T-R still in the crate at the local Aprilia dealer and couldn't help but write a check. I've been riding for over 35 years (yes, I'm an old man), own a 2006 Triumph Sprint ST which is my long distance bike, and now own a 2008 blue Tuono. I've been lusting for one of these for the past couple of years and am I ever happy that I bought one. I've added sliders, Tigcrafts, ERMax screen, and a mount for my GPS. The bike is now in for it's overdue 600 mile service at 1,100 miles and I love this bike. I ride it like I rode my 73 Norton back in 76 - which is going to get me into trouble and cost me money, but what the hell.

Now that I've introduced myself, I'll go **** off.

Watch that "old" ****... I've been on bikes 35+ years as well. Most of us here, are at that age where we act like teenagers but regret it the next day... Welcome and have fun!

I absolutely don't feel a day over 21 - and sometimes act it - until the next day when I get out of bed.

That said, I absolutely love my T. I bought it thinking that it would be my local riding bike, but I loaded it up with a tail bag and did a 'weekender' two weeks ago. Just about 800 miles over two days and it was friggin cold (at least for Florida). The T isn't as comfortable as my Sprint for Touring, but it can be done and I find the stock ergos not bad. What surprised the heck out of me was how comfortable I find the stock seat. I've certainly had longer days in the saddle, but I wasn't sore after just about 7 hours each day on the bike. Much of the riding was on back country roads where I can have fun with this bike.

Oreet pal. Love throwing a bit of tackle on the T an fecking off meself. Nothing better than a Tuono for that imho. Still got plans to rip round Ireland for a few days later this year.

Well, it's not snowing here in Florida, but it's gotten damned cold for this part of the country. It was in the upper 20's - low 30's yesterday morning and the same is expect today. I know, I'm a ***** when it comes to the cold. I read about riders wearing heated vests and wonder why - now I know. As soon as it gets above 50 here I'll get back on the bike - should be sometime later this week or during the weekend. It's in getting it's first service and should be ready tomorrow. It sucks riding in my truck to work - I look forward to getting on the T and riding to and from work every day.

Bleedin ell j boo hoo 20-30 degrees. That is tropical temperatures over here. All flights suspended in Gunchester. Roads closed, all schools closed. The ice age is coming the wheat is growing thin but I have no fear cause I I I I I I I live near the friiiiiiiiiiiddddgggge.

Welcome to the funny farm. More mad coo's, pigs with swine flue and headless chickens than Old MacDonald knows what to do with here.

Chris, I am disgusted at ya new avatar.

Niiiiice Chris. Thats what it looked like a couple of weeks ago, here. And it occasionally snows to up the ante. Add in -20C give or take a couple of degrees and u have a Canadian winter. Good luck laddy buck!

I have to agree that this is a much more tongue in cheek group as opposed to some forums that I frequent. Have to admit that I am learning more about different dialects of English than I've heard before. I'm not saying that our Americanized version is any better than others - it's just different.
