Hi all Caponuts, 27000kms new chain/ sprockets required. After being shocked by my local Aprilla parts dealer I looked for aftermarket sprockets, great difficulty In finding a supplier. Tracked down Adventure Motorcycle Equipment Quality Motorcycle Brake Discs &amp: Brake Pads - MetalGear MetalGear - Home of Quality Braking Components Esjot brand sprockets at 1/3 the price of genuine. Front/rear $ 88 including freight. Hope this saves you some cash. Recommend telling your Aprilla dealer how much they are scamming us.

Thanks Mr G62, I'm thinking of trying the 17/46 gearing when my chain needs replacing (still good at 30k kms). I've got the 16/42 combo on and that has made life in traffic heaps better than the OEM 17/42 super tall standard gearing!

I wouldn't bother with 'genuine' for chain and sprockets as the quality is not up to a good spec x ring from RK or DID etc, although the Regina stock 525 chain has lasted longer than I thought it might......

Note that up here in the sunshine state (c/w wet weekends) we have had a lot of surveillance this year (radar/mobile/camera/unmarked bikes& cars/eyes in the sky...), so maybe I haven't twisted the wrist as much as other years.;) - but I find that the bike likes/needs the chain adjusted to the oem 25mm cold spec. Took me a while to believe it as I normally run chains a fraction looser than oem on my 4cyl bikes.......Capo just has to be different....;)
