Got round to fitting the new shock at last today , it is a great piece of kit .
Will be taking the old girl for a run tomorrow so will let you know what i think tomorrow night , but its gotta be better than the stock pile of poooooo !

On a different subject .... took me mates ( new to him ) 07 KTM Superduke R for a spin last weekend , well 10 mins in and i couldnt wait to get off the ****** , KTM forgot to put a seat and suspension on the bloody thing , friggin hell is it hard ... and my T has way more grunt down low than his bike . It might be good on a smooth track but hard work on UK bumpy roads , anyone else tried one ????

Right im off to lick and polish me new shock now , mmmmmmm

Mmmmmmmmaxton...

That looks incredibly horny, hoss. How much. After 45 K km Andiamo needs a new shock. And I hear teh boys at Maxton will predial it in for my weight and style of riding. Plug and play.
Giddy. Up.

The shock cost me £599 incl postage , they asked for my weight in my gear / riding style / type of roads or track riding etc so its set up for me , as you say .. plug n play . Got the bugger in and checked static sag etc and it was spot on , they gave me all the settings that they have dialed in and tips on setting it up , it aint ohlins but i reckon its a better shock for the money , gonna get slagged off by all the ohlins owners now ...... but you have to buy a different spring for an ohlins shock if your a porkey bugger like me !

just looked on website...they have a factory in warrington..its like 15 mins from my house ...

are they easy to fit mate ?

Yeh once i had the bike supported ... i had 2 straps from my garage roof hooked from the sub frame to take the weight off , abba stand would of been easier ! after that its 2 bolts ... took 5 mins to fit , piece of piss mate .

Chris,
thye have been going a long time and are popular with the clubbies

Key points. Better shock for the money than Ohlins. And even if I got an Ohlins I'd have to change the spring. **** 'em. The blue of the Maxton will match my wheels.
And define porky, shotgun... I'm a SVELTE 20 stone...

Heh shovelhead ... think you have a couple of pounds on me mate ,,, 14.5 stone without me gear on ! judging by your photo you can haul *** and i expect your like me , relaxed muscle right ?
Good thing about them is they will stick a spring in to suit you .

Sooooo,, SVELTE is Albertian for fat ***** eh ?

Went out on the bike for a rip today and the conclusion is .......... Its like a different bike , well chuffed .
Not sure about you guys but my bike used to squat under power and yaw about like a ******* , if i stiffened it up then it was like i had welded the shock , well no more , its nice and firm and rides the bumps wayyyyy better than before , much better in the corners . Now it doesnt squat as much , im finding the front wheel likes to lift easier ( 15 42 gearing ) but me likey a lot !!!

Maxton....love it to bits...I think it's better value for money than Ohlins, BUT...there's no getting away from how good value the Ohlins sprung Factories are...

anyway...a few pics..

You rat ******* cockhead camel **** sucking goat fart huffing *******... I passed an entire cup of tea through my left nostril after I took a sip and then read your little contribution. The wife had to come and pound me on the back as I was coughing so hard that I was turning blue.

You ****.

And I'll be your ***** anytime nob...

Tifa... thanks for pics. I'd love to try one out but with your and shotguns thumbs up, I think that it's going to be a go. Wallowing under the gun is something that struck a chord. Being the aforementioned Albertian svelte 20 stone, I pretty much overwhelm any stock rear shock on standard settings. Having something sprung just for me makes me shiver with a little frisson of pleasure... (have at 'er nob)
