new shape master cylinder to fit old shape?

Is it possible to fit the newer shape radial master cylinder off a 2006 bike for example onto a old shape 2001 bike?
 
it can be done no problems

you will prob find it will foul on the fuse boxes on full lock

Easy thing to do is relocate the fuse boxes back slightly

I'm running a 05 on clutch radial & brembo radial brake 19/20 on mine
 
sweet, i'm putting them on a tuono so got abit of room for adjustment, cheers for confirming that.
