Ok, my first round of Newbie questions and probably stupid questions! I have had a look around the forum but ive probably missed a few threads that might answer my questions. I apologise in advance for these!

1) Will an 00>03 screen fit an 99 RSV?
2) K&N/Pipercross filters, im thinking of getting one. Do I need to take the tank fully off or just the half way stage to get to the air box? Are they worth it?
3) Is is possible to change the down pipes to have a dual outlet exhaust instead of just the one can?
4) I recently bought a power commander 3 (Non USB) for my RSV, are these easy to fit? Ive had a look at the instructions and it appears to be a bit daunting!
5) Tyres, can anyone recommend a set of tyres for me, I only cover about 1500 miles a year but like to push it a little while im out. Im no racer if you know what I mean though lol.
6) Last question! Tyre pressures, what do you guys run front and rear? I currently have Dunlop Sportmax's on but there nearly down to the nub.

Again im sorry for all the questions, feel free to tell me to sod off if im being a pleb lol.

the power commander is fairly easy to fit. Just remove the wiring harness from each injector and conect one pair of power commander leads between each harness and the throttle bodies. Then you just tap into one of the wires on the throttle position sensor (cant remember which one right now but I can take a look if you like.) All you do then is earth the power commander and install it above the ECU. Job done. For best results get a custom map at a dyno center. And for a small fee they will fit it for you anyway.:eatcorn

Tyre wise I can reccomend supercorsas and corsa III's. They take a bit of warming up but when they are up to temperature they are an awesome tyre.:thumbup

Thanks for that info mate, I will try and find my nearest dyno centre. It might be worth me waiting for a month until I get equipt with a can etc.

Wash! wash did someone say way a mille! No Stop please dont do it :)

Cracking looking bike mate. welcome :)

good idea because the custom map will take all mods into account, exhaust, air filter etc.:eatcorn

It might be a bit far away for you but it will give you a good excuse for a good run up the A68 then a belt up the A7. :devious
YPE Power at Bonnyrigg have a dyno, i took my bandit 1200 there to get sorted when i had it .
Their website is down for maintenence at the mo.

1) Screen's look similar, but don't fit.
2) Filter alone on a Mille will not make much difference, but if you are replacing your filter anyway, might as well put a K&N in there.
3) Yes. Akrapovic, Smaltmoto, Arrow all do full 2-2 systems. Harris used to do one but they are rarer than rocking horse ****. I actually have a big pile of rocking horse **** right here, next to my Harris system.:)
4) Easy to fit as explained above.
5) Michelin Pilot Power 2 front with a Pilot Road 2 rear is a great combination and will cover some serious miles.
6) 40, 36

Mate, we thrive on questions here so don't worry about asking.
If you're thinking about air filter/box mods, check out Hooked's thread here (if you haven't already seen it) http://www.rsvzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6040

Supercorsas are great for the track but I usually run Pilot Powers on the road warm up quicker and wear a bit better - 180 rear which lots of people reckon makes 'em turn faster than a 190. Pressures 36/38 F/R
Others think different but then finding your own ideal settings is all part of the fun.

Thanks for all the help guys, no wonder my bike feels a bit sluggish on the corners, im well under PSI! Ive went ahead and got a K&N filter as I took a look under the tank last night. Its soooo much easier to work on than I expected. I will look into those tyres too, it seems to cost an arm and a leg to have them fitted localy. Its a shame the screens dont fit :( Im gonna ave to keep my eye out for one on ebay or something.

Any tyre apart from Dunlop sportmax  do yourself a favour and lose those fcukers :biggrin

I know mate there horrible! Dunlop ditch finders lol, I had some on my Ninja and they were terrible.
