just joined thought i'd say hi
don't have a tuono but still love em and a few mates have em but i do have a superduke R which is awesome and am thinking bout getting another suzuki tls but would have a tuono in a heart beat if i had any more dosh and room
nice:cheers

I loved the Superduke R (Rollie, a mate of mine, has one) but for sheer *holy merde* riding I prefer my lil Andiamo. She sport tours (32K km on an '07), does the track like nobodies bidness, and is happy just pootling me to and from work (well, the ride home may be a bit more enthusiastic than the ride to). See if you can book a test on a T and I think you may be pleasantly surprised... even enough "to come to the dark side".

G'day and welcome Cowelly.

Didn't think you'd get any biased replies on this forum didja mate?:lol

As Shvlheadwolf says, book a test ride and see why the owners of Tuonos elevate them to almost cult status:hail

Three rear tires shredded my first season... Kinda says it all doesn't it? My only complaint is, when I just want to go for a relaxed ride and take it easy, Andiamo starts whispering in my ear and I hear the pop and snarl coming from the cans and the corners get a little more tight and the lean gets a little more intense until I am hanging off the inside... again...

I know what heroin or meth is like now... Some of us just shoot up with Tuono...

Had me a fix tonight Chunkster! 125 km before the yellow light came on... That means I was riding like an ******! *grin* Totally worth it though! Was out with a mate that I haven't ridden with in a long time and it was smooth and fast, just like old times. That old 'Blade of his can still rock the corners!

I am lucky enough to have found (after two years!) a group of guys I like to ride with. They call themselves "The old farts" and their ages range from early forties to seventy-four. And can't they ride! As you say, just like the old days, only better because I'm on the Tuono. These guys know all the good roads within a radius of 500km, and they ride 'em hard each weekend.

The best comment I heard from one of the older guys was: "It makes me feel alive". Amen to that.:thumbup

I'll let you know tomorrow. I'll be riding the Tuono for the first time tonight and have ridden several SD's and 950SM's.

Chunkster, I'm a member of the Old Fogeys, a sub sect of the EdmontonSportRiderz. On that site there are racers, stunters, newbs, and of course, us Old Fogeys. We put together rides for the more "experienced" riders and they have been so successful that the kids want to come. The one time that we let them, a kid wound up in the hospital with a broken leg and pelvis with a written off 636, another ran his Busa into the weeds (showing off), and another wowed the rest by riding his RC51 up the edge of a concrete divider/retainer at speed going into a corner to hot (no damage except for some new underwear needed). We now make it invite only. Most of us are in our 40s but there are a few in their 50s and we let some of the late 30s crowd associate with us if they demonstrate an appropriate Fogeyism (disdain for the younger "look at me" riding in a wifebeater and flip flop set). Trying to set up a September long weekend run. Will prolly be my ONLY bike run this year d/t honeymoon and subsequent lack of funds.

Oh, minorly sorry about the threadjack cowelly. How goes the Tuono?
