I've got one of your original ones and have used it with no problems at all. what I like most of all is that it is easier for short a**s like me to flick the sidestand up especially when the ground falls away to the right hand side of the bike.
By shortening it, doesn't that make it the same length as the original? or is that me being just dumb?:confused

I don't know, but mine has been on the bike for 4-5 years, and been perfect. I believe that there was a Honda 600 one that is the same size, but cannot remember the model. Do a search on here for Honda side stand. At least you'll get that from a breaker.
