Hi folks, been lurking for a while and decided to sign up, don't have a bike at the mo last one was a 955 speed triple, really like the look of the gen 2 Tuono and thinking of getting one in the near future, sorry if this has been asked before but what's the difference between the 2007.5 version and the other ones, is this the better one to go for??
Thanx in advance.

07.5 doesn't exist in Europe.
AF1 call the 07 model 07.5 because 06 models in the US were marketed as 07 (in 06!)

The changes on the 07 model were;
Magenesium Evolution Engine fitted 139 HP rather than 133 on the 06 for the Magnesium
(all this power is in the top end of the rev range, not really noticeable)

Four Pad brembo calipers on the front (no difference off track)

Colour changes, grey/silver out blue/white in.

08/09/10 are all as per 07 with colour changes.

07/08 bikes were sold with free Akra's - hence so many on eBay

Another Scotsman eh. Welcome lad!
The forum Sassenachs must be feeling crowded out. What do you have to say on the subject Nobist? :D

Anyhow...
Is there a way of telling the EVO engine from the pre-EVO ones in Gen2 bikes? Mines was built mid-07.

I'm a bit confiused why we have so many Scots.

I thought we quelled the population up there in Braveheart ?

Nah, most of em moved South for jobs, married English girls and bred half breeds (like me) :)

I would guess Engine/Frame numbers - The pre EVO engine was the one manufactured in 05 & 06 (possible only early 06)

Liz's bike is a May 07 and it's the Evo.

Check the number of brake pads in the front - the Evo engined bikes have 4 per pot.

I'll have a route around on AF1 ISTR Ed posted a list of differences over there some time ago.

And just to level things up (no offence intended to our Scottish brothers!) here's a picture of a typical English gentleman with a pre WW1 model Tuono...

The Nesbits are a fine people, the UK just would not be what it is today without our highland warrior kinsmen. The Scots have given us fine food, drink, culture, song and most of all its people. I love the Scots. Here are just a couple of examples of why we should be proud of Scotland and what they have done for our great nation that is Great Britain.

Ahh yes, another great Scottish export. Jumbo sausage... usually served with the poke o' chips (in the sporran just out of sight.) :lol

Ta for the clue Paul. I can go check the caliper tomorrow but from what you say I'm guessing it's an EVO in mine. :thumbup

Cause we like style, individuality, rawness, power, problems, pride and so much more, but just like most we appreciate wur machines,("Beam me down one of them 09 factory's Scotty"). Whit d'ya mean, no way huv ya seen the effin frame, Captain you've got to be hallucinating, na Scotty just bin sniff'n them dilithium crystals again.
