Hello Fellow bikers.

Greetings from North Devon.

Back to biking after 37 years (marriage/children etc)

Got a new bike in 2003 and felt right at home ever since.
Had 3 new bikes since 03 and 2 used ones.

In the Stable are a,
Kawasaki ZRX1200s. (03)
Kawasaki Z1000. (58)

Why am I here?

I test rode a Tuono r the other day and was completly blown away by it.

The Z1000 is good, in fact very good.
The Tuono Has spice, in great bundles.

But; Am I doing the right thing in selling my Z1000 and getting a Tuono.
The Tuono gave me more wind than the Z.
It guzzled a lot more fuel than the Z.
But put a big grin on my face.
So Do I keep the Z, with only 1800 miles on it, and it still has 12 months warranty, or buy a Tuono.:dunno

Silly question to ask on here but there you go.

R

G'day Razor and welcome.

Yes it is a bloody stupid question to ask here:lol

Ask yourself: Is that big grin on your face addictive? I know it is for me!

"nuff said:thumbup

aw rite razor, aye daft question,,,,,keep the zed lol,,,,,,,nut sell it quick as , i tested one a few years ago and found the suspension soft, or maybe it wis ma 16 stone on factory settings hmmmmmmmmmmm,,,,,,dont think ye'd regretbuyin a prilly dude

As sean so aptly put it, I don't think ye'd regret buying a 'Prilly. Stooopid fun even for those of us that aren't as svelte as sean (only just over 19 st here). I have baptized my lil Andiamo in the gravel at the local track last Sunday and frankly, I am looking forward to tomorrow when I take her back with a new shifter arm and some road rash to let her run free again. Those of you in the UK have a brilliant opportunity to ride the roads that the Tuono was made for. If you like to have a bit of an edge when riding as well as the cachet of riding a gorgeous Italian bit of exotica, the Tuono will NOT let you down. 37K km on Andiamo and I am looking forward to the next 40 K. I commute, tour, and hoon on my baby. She is my Prozac, Paxil, and drink after work. Even the wifey is a little jealous of the time that Andiamo gets ridden ("if you rode me as much as you rode that Aprilia, I'd have a smile on my face and wouldn't give a **** about anything else!!"). Do I sound like I am trying to proselytize?? You betcher *** I am. I have also found that, on this forum, there are more kindred spirits than any other board that I belong to. My only regret is being a sole Tuono owner in the middle of the bald flat prairies of Western Canada. I have spoken to the wife and as we are planning to move to Australia, I wanted to travel to Scotland and meet some of my online mates. God bless her for saying go ahead. Sooo (sum up you pedantic *******!!) I think that the fun of riding the Tuono is well worth the hassle of the trade in and I also think that the boyos here are the most fun bunch of reprobates and pirates that I have encountered. You could do a lot worse.

Sorry guys, the dude struck a nerve... so rry for being so loquacious. Off the soap box now.

Buy it quick Razor or we'll come down and squash ya. :thumbup
Get a black one tho, ask Chunkylad why.

Chunkylad why.

Black was going to be my colour anyway.

I test rode the black one and it just looks spicy.

To be fair, I have on my short list a Fazer 1000, yet to be tested.
Had a Fazer 600 back in 03 but after 2 years was rather tame.
Need to be let lose on a Stalion now.
Tuono or Fazer?
R

ps. Thanks for your replys guys.

Razor: Black is THE fastest colour - just ask anyone on this forum, they all know that.

Now let me help you crystalise your thinking:

Farter, err sorry, Fazer: generic inline four; dime a dozen - like and a***hole(everyone has one); really stirs your passion every time you ride it - NOT; sounds like every other IL4 on the road - even with a megabuck pipe, turns heads - no, really heheh.

Tuono: : Exotic, gorgeous, ballsy, Italian 60 degree Vee Twin; you'll probably be the only kid on the block with one, Really stirs your passion every time you look at it, thumb the starter and hear that rumble - let alone ride it (then add on the time it takes to wipe the stupid grin off your dial); add a pipe and stand back - awe inspiring (and you thought a 1098 Duc with Termis sounded good - HAH); Turns heads everywhere you go; will be the bike your mates gather around to inspect at fuel stops.:drool

Yeah , you're right Razor. You should go and test ride that IL4. The Tuono's probably too much for ya mate.:thumbup

Chunkylad, you’re in tune with my mind, I like that.
Like every one who’s thinking of changing up from the norm, we all need that little bit of impetuses to get and go.
Specially changing from a sweet revving smooth riding bike like a Kawasaki ZRX1200s. or Z1000.

The Tuono is a completely different bike drinks the fuel and very vibie.

That’s another thing. Normal riding I’m getting 50 plus mpg on the ZRX.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahah................hahahahahahahahaahahahah

Get the Tuono and that dirty word MPG, ceases to be important.
Plus : more fuel stops = more chances for ordinary folk to ogle your bike.
