New to this site and owning a Aprilia, Love the site. Got a 07 RSV. Seems awesome so far. After junking the Evap can(us only) and snyc'ing the throttle bodies myself after owning it 3 days! look foward to reading about good and not so good mods, thanks.

welcome sparky, your in the right place for finding out all thats good, bad and awesome about the mille.
theres quite a few from the good ole usa on here too.
the bike just gets better the more you bond with it,till you become as one.
fantastic weapon of choice!

thank you for the welcome, i have noticed quite a few of you guys are from across the pond. No offense but i get a kick out of some of your guys slang(ie ****** and such) Also i read BIKE,TWO and Classic bike cause you brit's got motorcycle jurnalism down and make it read more intresting then our mags

lol,******.
2 good magazines you mention their mate.
good to have you onboard anyway mate.

Much better terms than W8nker, toss bag or w8nk stain are a couple of my favourites, what other terms do you enjoy, welcome mate, you`ll like it on here, nearly as much as you like the bike.

Car for sale

Talk 'bout frustrating, it's worse than having lovers bo77ocks not having sold the car yet to get the bike. Any one want a 2005 D4-d T3 Corolla?

Was walking in the Yorkshire Dales last week (three peaks), check out them thar roods, chuffin excellent up through Horton. Nice pint in the crown too. Love England I do. But not the weather:angry

Hi, i'm new to this forum, so a couple of basic questions, i have 2002 rsvr - 1,what engine oil to use the manual says 15w50 (sounds bit thick) heard oil effects clutch drag ?
2, clutch lever is really heavy and its a struggle to find nuetral sometimes -normal ?
but bikes great :)

Welcome Major. All the answers and more are found in the forum fella so search away. The correct oil is 15w50. Finding neutral can be found easier by bleeding the clutch correctly and fitting a 40 clutch oil jet found on the later bikes, Aprilia part number 0268751, about £8.00

Finally got around to registering having lurked about reading the forum. Had a few laughs as well reading some of it which is always a good thing.

Been off bikes for a couple of years having owned an R6 and a Blade before buying a 748. But got the bike bug back and always fancied a Mille and don't think I could go back to a jap 4 now.

So in between moving and getting a new job, I'll be looking to get myself an RSV in the near future. Until then don't mind me while I pull up a chair, grab me slippers and talk bikes n sh1te :eatcorn

Welcome looney tunes :thumbup whereabouts in the south west are thee??

Somerset at the moment mate but heading back to Devon shortly to the Exeter area all going well.

welcome major and loony.
milles are awesome, every thing of beauty has its flaws.
and this is the best bike forum on the net bar none.
youll love the bike and love it on here, simple as.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Of course all things of beauty have their flaws, but that's all part of what makes them what they are.Well I've lived with owning a 748 :huh2 so I've had that 'bike on the back of a towtruck' experience in my biking CV :biggrin

Looking at an 00-03 RSV for now hopefully around £2500-3000 once ive got things squared away. Being a tallish lanky git I fit the RSV pretty well and not quite ready yet to smoking a pipe and riding an old VFR around :sleeping

g'day rusty.
