On the look for an new pair of bike boots normal wear sidi's (had 3 pairs)but tryed on alpinestars smx 5 yesterday at the new j&s store just outside the metro centre felt really comfy anybody got these or recommend a good all round boot

Since doing green laning I have started to wear W2s.

Really comfy and loads more protection than some road based footwear.

Some people take the piss a bit, but I just rise above it.

I've been wearing a pair of Daytona Roadstar GTX for the past 3 yrs and highly recommend them for comfort, fit, as well as being 100% waterproof. I use Sidi Vortice on track but for general day to day riding these are awesome. Cost is higher if you order from the uk so i go for a fitting then order from European suppliers with no worries over import duties as long as they come from an EU stockist. IIRC you can send them back to Daytona and they will re-sole for you as well when they wear down.

I've got a pair of those W2 boots.

They are good but yer in for a surprise if yer need to walk any distance in them.

They're made like ski boots,,,,,,,nae movement through yer ankles.
