Never a silly question?

Hi,

I'm going to Leeds from Milton Keynes soon (solo) then from Leeds to Alton Towers (with pillion) then from Alton Towers to Leeds and back to Milton Keynes, my question is how much fuel roughly do you think it will cost me? mostly motorway miles at about 80, I only ask because I've not taken the Tuono on a long trip before and around MK and surrounding country lanes I normally get the fuel light from a full tank at about 100 miles or so and £10 of fuel at 50 miles.

I need to budget in the fuel of the T along with the car.

will the fuel consumption increase with a pillion?

Cheers

Superstar, sorry, but that is the most ridiculously sillyist question you've posted, or I've seen posted, for a very long time.

As everyone says "never a silly question, only a silly answer", I know it is a silly q, but I really want to go on a long journey on the T, but the wife is asking me how much £ in fuel and I don't honestly know so the want a rough indication on how much it would cost to do the 485.9 mile route.

I know I should have said that before.

Well if the wife is asking just tell her £20

I convinced my missus that it only cost me £100 to get to Italy and back last year, if she knew the real cost i would probably be still getting it in the ear now..

I'd say about £100 in fuel as my tank is taking £20 from fuel light on now.
Cheaper in a car most definitely. PS if u know how much you can get on a tank i.e. 100 miles surely u could work that out.

Yeah but wasn't sure on motorway miles, noramally get a little more but not sure with the T.

Ditto, cost me £20 to fill up from light & get 100 miles to a tank if ridden sensibly, 70 on a good day :lol

Nearly 500 mile round trip for you then £100. Tell the missus the T has the latest Hybrid technology, so their & back on a £20 tank :thumbup

I rode my T sensibly once and got 149 miles till the reserve light came on. it was on the way back from cross gates to Leicester. Got all the way back on one tank and to work in the morning which is another 25 miles.

Also depends on how much lard you passenger is carrying around

I saw your sensible riding and frankly I'm surprised you can type without your nose hitting the screen.

Haha, i do have to set the screen quite far away to accomodate.. And whats that got to do with sensible riding.
maybe you would get more MPG out of yours if you cleaned some of the potatoes you have growing on it off

Oi. I went out for a ride yesterday and didn't once stroll off the flighpath. Shhhh I can't say the same for Stix cos when I looked in my mirror he was nearly off roading it.

Super S, reckon it would cost yer aboot 85 + at 1.40 a litre. If yer allow fir 100 then yer'll be well covered. Don't fess up to the real cost though.
