I have this same issue, you can get it to find neutral if you adjust the clutch but as stated the clutch drags very badly when you are hard on the gas and changing gear.

Granted my T4 is just a track bike but I just switch it off in 1st and then find neutral its easier and I look like less of a bumbling tw@t.

Have been told this aids gear change and helps find neutral, will take a punt on it over winter me thinks:

Hmm, worth a try? Bit expensive, but I could maybe make one of these up at work?

I'm also looking into making a shorter clutch lever (mounted on the engine). Just incase the warranty claim fails. Most of my miles are done on the road and crunching it into first at every traffic lights/junction can't be doing the selectors/gears any good? :(
 
There is a few mm of play at the gear shaft if you waggle it and i think it would benefit from this mod.

Will report back next riding season :thumbup
 
My 2013 Tuono APRC has this issue. When the bike is hot I cannot get it into neutral. It just goes straight between 1st and 2nd gear. The bike has 1000 miles on it.

I'm glad I read this thread as I thought it was just me being too heavy footed.

It isn't too much of an issue as I only really use neutral when starting the bike or if sitting for a while in traffic/lights, which is rare. When the bike has cooled down it goes into neutral no problem. I'll report it to the dealer when I take it for a service next year.
 
I initially had this problem, but having taken a little more slack out of the clutch cable via the adjuster on the clutch lever it's fine.
 
Done the same switched levers and adjusted to take most slack out. Also filled oil to max level and I noticed that gear box was smooth and neutral found easy....
