need to know a few things please

hi guys after buying my mille soon found out its not the same kinda bike as my old thunderace i thought my ace was faster top end as i could only get around 145`ish but my old ace 175 but then found out mille was 16/42 sproks new DID and sproks fitted now st 17/42 what is the top speed of a mille and theres no red line either what should that be ? ,i know my bike has had the snip but last owner told me the camshafts had been changed on my bike how would i know that. ive fitted a scottoiler
to my bike on sunday anyone had probs with it seems to open the valve ok but not much oil comes out unless i set it to max setting or prime any idea guys ? cheers

I hit 156 on my RSV on 16/43 sprockets so shud be doable on 16/42. Not sure what top speed is tho, didn't find myself goin that quick to often !!!

Had ma 2005 up tae 170 before i changed sprocks now i'd be lucky to hiit 155, but **** me does it get there quick ye ha:thumbup:biggrin

V twins arent top speed machines.
the red line is adjustable as in you can change the rpm point that the gear change light comes on there is little point in revving the bike close to the limiter as you will have passed the point of peak power.

With the scottoiler there should only be a drop or two per min or you'll flood the chain and it'll be one he'll of a mess . Redline is set at about 10500 I believe but you can adjust the gear change light from 6k up .
