Need ideas for paint scheme

Hi all, after all the help you gave me last time i thought i would ask again, I have an idea, I am off to Afghanistan soon and whilst i am there i have thought of leaving my bike for the duration of my tour with southern cross to rebuild the engine, the money i save during the tour will either get me a colin edwards rep or a blank canvas with the yellow rsvr i,ve got now:biggrin. I am getting new exhaust, paintjob, suspension overhaul,power commander (fitted by someone who knows what they are doin this time), rearsets , etc,etc. Ideas, guys are what i need, and piccies would be helpful so i get a better idea of what it would like on the bike, c,mon get those thinking heads on:thumbup P.S can i get a twin exhaust system for the 01 rsvr? ( no wizard of oz ideas please, while miss garland would get it coz of who she is, that paint job is just WRONG, That paint scheme should be in the hague for crimes against humanity alongside "CARAVAN IN A DITCH" or whatever his name is)See Ya Ed:nana
 
I used to live in The Hague, and prosecuted war criminals. The Alice in Wonderland guy didn't have a chance, that was an open and shut case for a grave breech of the Geneva Convention.

Why don't you have it painted in 'British Gas' colours..I'm sure you'd get a crowd wherever you parked..:devious

How about a mural of Mohhamed depicting him as being gay..That should get the conversation going while you're there..:thumbup
 
how about a saint george paint job, with a england flag or a knight slaying a dragon, show some patriotism! :pirate:thumbup
 
Man don't be oversensitive the people here are either having a laugh or else trying to give ya good advice. I'm sure that everyone is sympathetic that your going away to Afghanistan and wishes you a safe return but you never said anything about this bike being a lasting tribute to you!?!

Eano, cheers for the comments, i,m not being "oversensitive" i,m not after anyones sympathy either, i do the job i do coz i love it, no other reason! I am going to afghan but i,m certainly not after anyone's pity. in fact i asked to go. As for the bike being a lasting tribute to me, Isn't everyone's? its just how you choose to percieve it.

LIsten guys if someone has taken offence at what i have written, i whole heartedly apologise, never was my intention to offend you guys.

But I don't envy you going there..
 
mate I didnt realise you were welsh? maybe the saint george was abit tasteless, how about a welsh dragon or maybe even your regiments colours with your badge number or something? take it easy over there mate:thumbup

thanks i will take it easy over there. Don't worry about the taliban they are just misunderstood, I mean who the hell do we think we are saying their women should have a say in stuff or become doctor's or that children should be in school:dunno. Tschh ! Ahh well never mind Tommy Atkins will sort it eh? Ta for all the advice guys like eano said it been top notch
