Does anyone know or have any suggestions for a good dealer in the West of Scotland to take my 2001 RSV for a 19000 mile service :dunno

Nightmare bud, you just missed Griff up here on thursday doin my bike!!! As for good dealers bud.........few and far between up here for the mille. Grew up in Dunoon and have used a few "dealers" in the Glasgow area and were *****!!! That's why i got Griff up to do mine just now..........sorry buddy can't help with a good one!!

did you try Jim Allan M/c's in Falkirk?

Never used them but trust me.......haven't heard many good things about them at all!! I genuinley don't know of a trustworthy one for the Mille mate at all!! Hopefully another Scots member will add something on from their experience but i can't recommend one that i truly can say knows the RSV..............sorry buddy!

What about the North of England???
I'm willing to travel as long as I'm getting a first class/trust worthy service.

I used these guys for my major service AMR Racing in Leyburn. Simon used to race Rsv's and knows his stuff :thumbup I was very happy with the results. Cost £350 for the sevice inc valve clearances.

I think our best bet is to give Griff a call mate and see what he suggests, as i'm sure he has a mate in Dunfermline who deals mostly with Ducatis but Griff talked highly of him and think (but not 100% sure) that he MAY be getting involved with the Mille's. Definately worth a try as the guy sets up race bike's so knows his onions......................:thumbup

Sorry for the daft question, but who's Griff and how do I contact him?
Just new to the forum so I don't yet know who's who!
Cheers again Sy

No worries Sy mate, Griff owns and runs "Aprilia Performance" down south. He has been touring the country servicing and setting up forum members suspension for the past couple of months, you just missed him here at my place (my bike's never ran better!!).

If you go to member list and search for "fusebox", send him a Private Message asking him for advice. Failing that call 07826-276-223 and ask him over the phone. He's probably the best RSV mechanic around!!:thumbup

Hi folks,

I've had my 2000 Mille for about 5 years now and I have always put it into JK motorcycles in Stirling.

James knows his stuff and to be honest I have been entrusting my various bikes over the years to him since I started out on two wheels.

He is a small outfit that does bike servicing and some sales of kit only, no actual bikes for sale and one of the best things I find about him is he always goes that wee bit further for you, like making little adjustments here and there even if you haven't asked him to. Or you go and pick the bike up from getting MoT'd and not only has he been out for a quick test ride on it to make sure everything is working as it should, he's washed the bike for you too. I can't fault him at all, highly recommended.

I know I'm not the only Aprilia owner who uses him either, there are a couple more round my way that go to him and a few Tuono owners too.

Alternatively, there is Skinners in Dundee. I know a few of the Jock lads from through Perth way that we hook up with every now and then for a run in the summer use Skinners and seem to think highly of them although I have never used them myself.

Cheers for all the help boys.
I've had a chat with Griff and I think he'll be sorting me out with a service.
