Lets start with friday, RS3mille Millekid and myself arrived at the venue at around 7.00pm and waited for Sharky and Newboots to arrive before the tent erection proceeded, imagine the scene... wind a blowing and pissin down a plenty, Sharky took lead and started to bellow the instructions out while the rest of us pathetically started to put the wedding tent up, much piss taking and blaming Newboots for things going wrong ensued, we had almost got 3 poles together when we heard 2 milles roll into the car park, it was Spydz and Boyler looking very wet and in need of a dry place to change and the sooner they helped to get this bloody tent up they could have that dry place, within minutes the tent was up and ready, well nearly as we stupidly put it together in the wrong place so we had to move it, then Sharky and Newboots decided to put their tents up......inside the big tent, so we ended up with tents in tents, Carpe Diem and Emily the beer monster were cosily tucked up in their hotel at this point, possibly watching telly or having a swim :roll, time for a few beers and then get some sleep, the beer wasnt a problem but the sleeping was, Boylers phone kept going off, Newboots decided to play name that tune with his ringtones, Sharky had a leaky valve on his airbed so spent most of the night reblowin it up, Spydz and RS3mille were having a snoring competition and Aprilia UK had a generator running all night.

Saturday
The weather was looking good and in fact we only had one short shower in the afternoon, apart from that it was a clear warm day, im going to leave the report for saturday to the other lads, it will be nice to have 10 versions of this as obviously everyone has a story to tell :thumbup:thumbup

It was a great day and id like to thank my 9 fellow rsvzone campers for the great wekkend of laughs :thumbup:thumbup

Little1, looks like you all had a great time if a little wet on Friday. Come on fellas let have some more stories and piccies

There was of course the issue around the 'local' lad not being able to find a chip shop open on Friday night, until one was pointed out by some of the other 'not so local' idiots, the pain in arse pub shutting at 11pm, so we all had to go back out in the pissing rain, which kept getting harder and more persistant until weirdly at 1:30am(ish) it stopped as if someone had turned off a switch, to be replaced by the soothing sounds of the Aprilia experience's generator providing them with power for pot noodles and porn no doubt. Boyler certainly has some weird mates...if I called someone at 1am just to tell them I'd got back from a ride out, I don't think I'd be very popular...Anyway with the rain just about stopped and all nice and calm Spydz cheered us up with some tuneful snoring that really broke the silence lovely.....
Meanwhile after neglecting to bring an inflatable friend and snuggling into my 11 year old's sleeping bag minus the velcro's laughing clown's face off the front I had a smashing night's sleep!

Saturday was cracking; tea and bacon sarnies at 8am and setting up the stands, plus the weather continued to improve; even managed to find time to borrow a Shiver from Taz for a bit of a razz....Mmmm a bit tame but better than an old Passat estate. Anyway we then decided to look into sorting the entertainment out....this is where it all started to go pear-shaped. RsvChris and his band turned up, the stage (curtain sided trailer) and rest of my band arrived, so we dragged Little1's HUGE generator down the field...Started fine but wasn't putting out any electrictrickery...ohh dear, so the wee man bl;asted back out and brought back a smaller but very helpful generator..This one started and was putting out the power lovely until someone played the wrong note/chord/riff from Smoke on the Water and it stopped working. Well the combined talents of the RSVzone and 2 bands managed to work out it was pretty shagged, particularly when our drummer gave an almighty heave on the starting pully and the thing snapped off in his hand! So desperate measures were needed and after some discussion and deflation of the bouncy castle (aahh!) we managed to connect about four hundred extension cables in to a 13 amp socket in the outside bar and ran it down the field to the stage.....Held up very well and both bands were able to entertain the now rather diminished crowds ( well we were about 4 hours late starting!) At this point I thought sod that for a game of soldiers time to pack up and get home to bed...!
But I've got to say it was a fantastic event with a shed load of laughs ( even if a lot were directed at meself!) and I hope next year's event can be as good if not better...however the travel lodge will be getting booked for acommodation purposes!
All the best you happy campers

Well I didn't camp out but I made the trip down there at least to show my face after a 800 mile drive back from france the night before, and then a 200 mile round trip to Yaxley for a cuppa and a burger :thumbup nice to meet some of you guys again, and to meet Rs3mille, millekid, MSmilleR and boyler, always good to put new faces to names...

Told the wife i was nipping out to Squires (about 8 miles from my house):biggrin

Hope to able to make the next camping expo for some beers :thumbup

Sounds a good time lads, did everyone get back ok? Aprilia generator would have had a tank full of pi55 if they left it on near me.

Oh

Well what can i say. it was a great weekend although it did start out very wet. What sticks in my mind from the weekend...

little1UK and RS3Mille rolling in on there race reps, sounded like thunder coming down the road and they got all the heads turning at the show. Also seeing Little1 on this oversized Mille, it must have been twice the size of the standard, only wish i had a pic.

Newboots playing on stage, he had a real hard task as there was no1 about watching but he soon managed to pull a crowed and was very good entertainment. Then RSVChris and his band finished of the night with his band which also went down a scream.

The nice bar girls who put our RSVZone T-Shirts over there ClubAprilia.com T-Shirts (much to the dislike of clubAprilia members). Photos to follow from Sharky who took loads of em.

All in all it was a great weekend and i am really looking fwd to next year. Just hope we get some better weather and more members turning up.

Little1 missed out that H and SY_KO also turned up Sat for a visit.

My thanks go out to Sharky, Little1UK and NewBoots who did most of the organising (if you can call it that :) )
