Just gone to start the bike, it started fine, but it's revving it's **** off from cold and doesn't want to drop off the automatic choke, it's being doing this off and on since I bought it.

Has anybody have any idea what the F##k's the matter with it, it doing me head in.:rant

Any suggestions would be greatly received.:thumbup

Cheers Andy.

From cold if the bike revs to about 4000rpm and never comes down

It could be the Datatool system 3 if you have one on the bike.

From datatool fitting instructions 2 wires are connected wrong.........i have a sequence to reset the alarm and a diagram to remove the wires to stop it happening again

Pm me if you want the info

I have had the same thing twice myself now...but mine happened once on the way to Squires Milk bar (20m) and only calmed down when I stopped. Today it happened buit when i stopped for petrol (5m)..it calmed down

Mines not that consistent a problem but a problem it is though..and its a pain coming up to junctions and roundabouts...actually its bloody dangerous!

Any other ideas other than the alarm just in case its not that??

It has only happened 2 times on my bike, usual when a charger is attached to your bike....Optimates are ok

Thanks for the info Battlebiker:thumbup, I will try it tomorrow and let you know, It was connected to an Optimate 3 charger at the time as well!

No probs guys

Just remember to unplug your optimate from the mains before unpluging it from ya bike.....just in case....shouldnt make any difference but thats how you should unplug your optimate
