aye scott, think its got something to do with amber running lights, which is requirement in the states, my missus runs a honda superfour jap import which had amber running lights in the indicators, looked good when they were on , but had to deactivate them as ye cannae run them legally in the uk. i am sure somebody will tell me if am talkin pish though!

LOL...noted! :thumbup

I haven't looked into the law, but I believe our US DOT (Department of Transportation) mandates amber lens turn signals on motor vehicles sold here. We can buy clear lenses and use them though, and I think they've relaxed the law, but Aprilia hasn't caught up to that yet.

We also have fenders here with two holes drilled into them for the mandated reflectors for the side of the bike. Mine have been removed, of course.

At least it's cheap to buy the lenses and bulbs for the indicators. Those will be on my bike before the snow melts here. What I hate is that the clear tail light is over $200! :eek

....and don't get me started on the blue wheels for US market bikes. :banghead

Flip sake i didnt even notice the red rear light, i think they fit these on the RSV over this side O the pond. Yep i think its much nicer when the rear is all white. So the US factory has blue wheels as standard eh??

I know about the rear light costs had to replace mine not cheap over here either!

:cheers

Yup. Strange aesthetic choice in my opinion. It's been a ***** trying to find a set of gold OZs to swap out, and I don't want to put Marchesinis on the bike. I'll probably have to man up and get my current wheels powdercoated. I'm just worried that the shop will screw up the bearing races and/or rotor mounting surfaces.
