I've owned this bike since April 2007, and done less than 600 miles on it in 5 years!!

the good points.

The V5 is in my name.
All the bodywork is the original Suzuki items.
it has a fully reconditioned engine, including the crank and bottom end bearings, pistons, barrels and power valves.
the carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned.
air filter cleaned and gearbox oil recently changed.
reconditioned forks with new oil, seals and progressive springs.
new chain and sprockets.
brand new Bridgestone BT092 rear tyre (it's only covered 6 miles going to the MOT station and back this morning), and plenty of life left in the front.
brake callipers have been stripped, cleaned, new fluid bled through and new brake pads all round.
I have every MOT certificate dating back to 1997, the original owners manual, service record and warranty policy booklet and there's a toolkit under the seat.
It was MOT'd this morning (21/04/12) and passed with no advisories.
The engine pulls smoothly from low in the rev range with no stuttering, when the power valves open up it pulls cleanly and enthusiastically to the red line as it should.

The bad.

The RHS fairing and nose cone has some damage from the previous owner dropping it as can be seen in the photographs, this damage can be repaired or a replacement fitted.
The rest of the bodywork is 18 years and 21,000 miles old, although it is in really good condition there are a few scratches as you'd expect on a bike of this age.


So to summarise, this is a bike that I've spent many hours fettling and cleaning, and have barely ridden it.
The last MOT was done in May2010 and it has only done an embarrasing 60 miles since, it lives in my workshop under a blanket. It's time for it to go to someone who will use it.
