MY Pride and Joy if my post works

that 999 front fender did that fit straight on ?

loving this bike !!!

The fender came with the bike, but I really think this is an Aprillia part, Not Ducati. sorry I cannot help further. Glad you like the bike Ride safe mate Ken.

Hi Ken, bike looks a minter. just a quick question fella, im looking for a tank pad like the one you have fitted, did it come with the stomp grips or did you buy it separate. Adey.

I bought them from Stomp grips off ebay, not cheap but I had them on my Ducati and not only do the protect the bikes paint they really do take pressure of your arms as used by many race bikes regards ken.

Not a problem, as a point of interest my home for this summer is my static caravan on the Slyne site on Bottomdale road, opposite the graveyard of all places, I look forward to meeting up, I ride with old friends who have a range of bikes Tuonos, Triumphs, GSXR, Ducatis etc. I would love to meet up and maybe have a ride out. Love the routes in the North especially the Cumbrian coast road to Penrith then back over Shap; Hawes, Alston,Kielder, etc I have been riding them for some time now. Do I know you ? I lived in Morecambe for many a year and used to drink in the Hest Bank in my youth amongst many other pubs. Some of my old mates are Gerry Newby, Pete Hodgson and Mick Fallas. The only problem I have up North is I donot have the internet in the van although we are buying a dongle to see how this peforms on the lap top. However we have the mobile if you pm me your number I will keep it and give you a ring. [email protected]. regards Ken. Hope to get out on the bike next week fingers crossed. I just might take the Triumph.

:devious Me ,, Dave & Gary often have a pint in the Slyne Lodge or Cross Keys was in there Monday night watching the Man City game ,,,,,,,, off to The Hest Bank for something to eat tomoz,,,,,,,,, I live opposite the Spar , now Londis behind the Slyne lodge,,,,,,,,,,,, :devious

I already bought one and tried it...it didnt fit well at all, even with mods...so I dont know what fender Ken has, but I want one! It might be one for the Aprilia patterned off a 999 fender...

well i've only payed 20 quid for it so i'll still have a play around with it....what was it causing fitting probs?....did you try the earlier or later 749/999 fender?

The earlier one...the mounting holes were a tad off, and the inside of the front fender would foul on the fork stanchions, so those needed trimming...pretty well butchered the fender and got it to fit, then decided it just looked awkward...:dunno

the one i got was fiberglass so it was difficult to manipulate.....trimming the sides would be pretty easy...the main concern i had was how close it is to the tyre.
think i may invest in an original ducati part.....my body/painter specialist reckons he can get it to fit easy:thumbup
