Taking a trip to Rio Wisconsin this Sunday was a trek in itself. The small town was surrounded by twisty backroads and beautiful scenery. My objective was to check out an 01' Aprilia RSV, take her for a ride, then carefully contemplate buying the bike. The specs are:

01 Aprilia Mille 15k miles

Super rare corse daul sided exhaust...over $3000 retail (for racing purposes only :nana)
MES Heads (complete with cams, head work, valves, the whole lot) over $4500 on that reciept
Geared -1, +1
New Tires
MES Vel stacks, and filters
PC3 (dyno'd 142whp, on a conservative 92 octane tune)
Reciepts for everything
Bike looks are feel brand new...seriously this baby is mint! not a scratch on her.

In a nut shell the guy just wouldn't let me walk away. I kept telling him I needed a week to think about it and he kept coming down on the price. Got to a point where I just couldn't pass it up and signed the title. This is my first Aprilia, and also the BEST (and I've riden everything from classic triumphs, to the new 2008 1000rr) bike I've ever riden! So balanced, so easy to keep stable in a turn, and SOOOO much torque! Power everywhere! Not to mention sexy as hell!

Here are the pics...someone please nominate me for BOTM for October!

nice bike dude and the best year too!

PS-what was that power figure? is that wheel or crank / lbf-ft or Nm?
142 that is fantastic!. mine toppped out at 126 BHP at the rear wheel and thats with a lot of mods but no head work(other than airbox and 57mm TB's)

I'm only going by what the previous owner had told me. The 142 figure is supposed to be to the wheel, but there's only one way to find out. Seeing as that I live in wisconsin, I probably won't be able to get it on the dyno till next year. With the ammount of work in the heads and the gains that I've seen from the akropovic exhaust i think its a reasonable number. The bike feels fast as hell. 126whp is a good number as well :)

yeah it must be the headwork giving such a hike, I run all the mods inc a 65mm bore akra evo sytem and gained 8bhp. Looks like a supercharger for me next!. Stil 126 feels plenty poweful for me since she shed 25 kilos in weight!. yeehaaww
Great bikes indeed
cheers Mr C
