What about the sensor then. Just use the L shaped threaded bracket to bolt it to the base of the plate? So it is underneath and out of sight?
Just fitted one to my 2000 mille on sunday, took about an hour all in,and i was in no rush, is dead easy once you have removed the airbox is obvious what you need to do. On the 2000 mille the plate bolts onto the top of the bodies using 6 bolts, replace the breather hose, jobs a carrot. Took bike out for the first time last night and sounds like the world is ending. Induction noise rules!!!!!!!!!
:dunno ahh might be too late but is there not a note about having to remove the "O" rings from the OE air box to let the carbon plate sit flat ???
it's been a while since I did mine but ISTR that you have to take em out to fit it proper loike....:thumbup
