K7 GSXR 1000 :devious

Looks lovely, if i was ever going back to IL4's it would be one of those close to the top of my list :thumbup

Riding the mille when it was OK was a fun and rewarding experience, however keeping it serviced, modded etc was a very stressfull experience, so much so that it had to go. from the minute I bought it; the mille was nothing but hassle, the bike shop from where it was bought (the motorcycle centre) to the first service (speedaway) to its modifications (Griff) all were problematic and none managed to complete a job without botching, damaging, loosing, or generally acting unprofessionally.
Undoubtably if you spoke to any of these above listed business's they would describe me as "fussy" or "particular" or even "nuts" but I never expected unreasonable results and allways paid for the service I received. In short, when you have a brand where the dealerships can't get spares, don't know how to do the job, and sl*g off the brand you really have to consider the validity of keeping/owning such a bike.
My old Mille will be missed, and yes the GSXR is the same old same old, but at least it ain't a quirky, "unique" and bizarre member of the dark arts that is "italian motorcycling".

Yeah, you're right mate, those K7s are completely bulletproof. BTW, have you checked that the extra bracing has been fitted round the headstock as per the recall? Or is the front end about to fall off because the frame's cracked?
Just curious.:thumbup

This Jap v European v American argument will rumble on until hell freezes over !!, Which is what makes it so interesting and fun to read :)

I had Jap V-Twins, then the R1 and now the Mille "Frankie"...............Frankie has cost me more in terms of stress and breakdowns than any other of my previous bikes, however as a pure riding experience Frankie beats them all hands down.

differant strokes for differant folks...........................

treat you mean to keep you keen,:inlove that's what they do, and it works:biggrin
