It was either this or getting my stomach stapled.

Fully suspended?? You *****. Harder to ride everywhere but downhill. I'm still a hardtail fan. My ol Trek 850 antelope is still rockin'. Just not in -30C. This my year to get the belly off. Welcome to the club nobbie. I'll use you as a support when I want to binge.

I bought this last week

Also full sus. A fair chunk of our riding is on trail centres, very rocky, a HT means you just get too much of a battering on the rocky downhill sections which in turn drains your energy. I'm very happy though that the riding position is very close to my hardtail which pleases me lots after riding a few of my mates full sus bikes and not really liking them.

I've only ridden it twice now due to the snow but out again tomorrow for some proper tricky stuff and top trails.

I'd have given you one of them for nothing mate.

We have a spare one that one of the lads used 3 times.

When i sold him my old bike i used that one for a ride. I'm way way fitter and better than them boys however i couldn't stay with them.

I'm pretty sure it weighs the same as my Tuono.

I'm a big cyclist Nobby. I'll be expecting to see you at sleepless in the saddle at Catton Park and the hell of the north in a few months! ;-)

I've a 2010 Trek Fuel EX9 (full bouncer) and 8500 (hardtail for racing) Shvl. Great bikes. Just wish i lived in your fine country to make the most of them..

Nice Commencal Weeksy.

P.S. check this guy out to be amazed.

Yeah he's not bad LOL. Seen it a few times. He's just had his biggest exposure this week with a big article in the NY times.

I've only done one XC race but planning on doing a couple of the Gorrick series down here starting on 7th March.

Blimey what excitement over a push iron. If it hurts me I'll bin it off round the back of the garage with the other rusty wreck I've got :yes

Go for it Nob, a couple of stone will feel like adding 5 bhp to the T.
Good luck.
You & Hamish should have a small bet here.

Todays weather was superb. Frosty, cold, crisp and beautifully sunny. Tyres gripped nicely on stuff that was unreidable on Wed due to mud. Not too hot when riding, not too cold (apart from feet).

Well, you get fit, slim down *******s want to get your bodies and bikes to Glentress, near Peebles, Scottish Borders for some mountain biking fun. So good they are holdin the 2012 olympic mountain biking section there.

Me, I wait for better weather and ride April or if I go up Glentress I use the 4x4 dodging the "bikers" goin up at 10mph and comin doon at 30mph
