My Mille's finished!

No I used two. I drilled a fresh hole and bolted from underneath.

They're solid as a rock although the vision is not the best but it appears a common problem with that style of mirror.

What's the problem? Better than the gen 1 mirror in terms of rearward vision?

Rob :)

Cool, cheers. Yep, most folk I have heard say the same thing about the Gen 2 mirrors, that they are a bit poor vision wise. Not too fussed to be honest, they can't be that much worse than the originals.

You can see your elbows and have to move your head more to get any decent vision.

They could do with being a little longer on the arms but after my ride out on Sunday I got used to them.

Would not swap them back now.

Managed to get them fitted. They look brilliant. I don't know how I did it but I managed to drill the holes so that when the mirrors were fitted it's only possible to get one M6 nut onto the bolts attached to the mirrors. The other nut is blocked from turning because of the thick/wide part of the underneath of the fairing stay. They feel rock solid though so not too bothered.

I oversized the holes so must have had a bit of play to get the second nut on.

It was tight but I managed it.

Hmmm. I might take them off again and oversize the holes a bit more as well. I already did so in order to achieve a bit of "play" but I could have got away with making them slightly bigger.

That said, as I already mentioned, they are rock solid so aren't about to part company with the bike at any point so I might leave them alone for now.

Looks good. Have you wired them up yet?

Rob :)

Yes m8, wired up, just ran the wires along the inside of the top fairing and connected them up to the existing indicator blocks - job done. Removed the old indicators and despite leaving the small recess behind where they used to be sat it doesn't draw your eye to much or look like there is something obviously missing.

Very good. Do they have regular 10 watt bulbs in the mirrors then?

Rob :)

He is a poster on the first page of this thread and supplier to a number of bits on my bike through his company Xtreme Performance

Cheers just pm him... Nice looking bike, hope to follow in your foot steps during this winter... Cash permitting that is haha
