I love build threads, it’s a great way to keep track of all the hard work we put into our protects. It’s funny but some of my best friends have come from forums like this one. I always like to track my success, and my failures. Hopefully soak up all the combined wisdom from the people that love these machines.

So, let’s start a build thread! I’ve passed by my new bike every day for 3 years. It was literally moved from spot to spot in my complex, just used as a parking saver. I’m 36 years old, and I remember reading the magazine articles about the Mille when it was new. So I Knew exactly what it was the the first time I laid eyes on it. One day I noticed my neighbor pushing it to the next spot. So I walked up and said, that bike should be in the garage. Long story short, I have a new friend. It took me about a year, but I ended up with it!

These are the first pictures, right before I pushed it into my garage.

Well I’ve officially fallen for this bike. When I first picked it up the bike was leaking oil badly, and the fork seals needed some love. I found the oil leak was from the stator cover, I think the stator was done, but instead of replacing the cover gasket it was just siliconed back together lol. All of these thing I repaired.

Fork seals, and oil. Stator cover gasket, Oil, filter, and spark plugs. I also replaced the front and rear fenders. I’ve been riding the bike 60 miles A day. Even at 45k miles this thing runs perfectly. I’ve owned a lot of different motorcycles, but this bike just feels better then all of them. I’m really happy to be part of the family.

More to come, just stuck deep into a Honda CR750 land speed build at the moment.
