Very nice bikes mate :) Twin cans are the way forward (Biased opinion hehe) Whats the deal with the performance chip and powercommander? I thought the PC would do the job alone?

Chip would ideally, sort out the power curve to be perfect throughout the rev range, but I suspect that in real-life there are still dips in it.
Also, each bike is slightly different so no generic "chip map" or "Power Commander Map" would be ideal - hence why people have their bike custom mapped on a dyno against a know power output (i.e. run the bike standard first, look at the gaps in the power curve, set up the PCIII to "plug" or smooth those gaps, and then dyno until ideal. E.g on a twin that is front to back in the frame (the Mille) as opposed to a transverse twin (e.g. Guzzi where the engine sticks out both sides), the front cylinder will run cooler than the rear cylinder affecting firing, fuel etc. Each cylinder can be individually mapped (at a cost - £250 i've been quoted to map a twin) through the PCIII. This could theoretically be done through the chip, but you best ask Dr Rossi about that.
Different chips for different systems also, the chip I am currently running is a chip with a bit of advance all the way through the rev range which as opposed to the normal jerky, lumpy nature of the standard chip, slightly overfuels so the bike rides more smoothly.
If as Pete has, you had bigger throttle bodies, you would want more fule being delivered hence why he's used the Edwards Chip, but he may want to fine-tune it throughout the rev range which the PCIII on his bike also, permits him to do.

With 57mm throttle bodies, you'd do well to find a faster RSVR.

If you think that's fast, you should see his track Mille which is not in any piccies I've got, but has a full carbon airbox, 57mm throttle bodies, Edwards airtubes and chip and sh*t loads of other stuff. :eek:

like your twin cans mates, should come standard me thinks :) but Petes mille,well its lush. Best mod anyone can do it paint the mille YELLOW :)
