Hi,

in yuoth I did have that 125 cc motorbike but after that there was total 1/4 centory silence with motorbikes, spring 2012 I did let the feeling take me with ...... I decripted to my friend ( have always had a bike) from those 125 cc days what alike bike I'd like to drive and he said 'sportbike with big twin :biggrin ', after that I was asking 'help' in my choose and one fellow mentioned 'those gen 2 Aprilias are nice', it took a while that I get an opportynity to drive a one ( my current ride) and after two strides all was clear :thumbup .

I'm up to make this bike full Fluo Red-themed ( I've extra fairings) and allready have fitting stickers to lowerfairings :)

My target is also to make on 'stomach' exhaust so then those BIG Giannellis are to be disappeard !

Red is my Colour (yes the car is mine)!

I do not have big knowledge of these bikes in general so I've been trying to do as many trialrides with other bikes that's possible ( this spring forexample new Yamaha R1 and BMW 1000 RR 2010) and it's ALWAYS been a pleasure to sit back on Ape which is unbeliable stable, not to mention the grunt of the twin motor ....... I'm in love with this bike.

Yes I know the moto-magic exhaust (I've called him also), somehow I feel that the price too high ( about 1600 pounds/installed/ adjusted), it's not a rocking science to build up a muffler, as a matter of a fact I've bidded allready an Futura belly pan exhaust, it's almost empty, I'd have to mod it with BIG hand but where's the hurry in this full ready world ? I expect it to be finished with 1/3 cost, but you never know. And my solution will also be a bit different ( my aim is to build up an muffler which can be changed back to original set up in few minutes + work with fairings).

Here is an one moto-magic going on:

Here is an other one, more like an Panigale-style outlook ?

Mine might look like this second one while I've have those extra fairings ( I can cut those a bit if needed).

Congratulations on an awesome first bike! How does it run woth those short exhausts? they sound cool

Welcome

As said the GP-style exhaust is just in my head - and to be 'produced' coming off season latest.

But with those giant Giannelli's it's going nicely too.

Rotax motor is a nice one, when you've 3 000 rpm. ongoing it does not bother what gear is on, if you throttle - it's GONE !

Futura-box arrived, as I have those extra fairing I dropped the box to those, it seems that the bottomfigures are quite much alike with the fairings. But there's a LOT to tune, we'll see how this ends. This belly pan is atleast 10 cm too long ( appx. 50 cm., I can use maximum 40 cm.) but the way of shortening is open. That's clear that the can is to be opened ( I'll make it a like functioning like my single Giannelli).

Can is to full a bit forward (compared pictured) and I'm maybe 'filling' the right end side and from that place is that single exhaust pipe coming out ( so all the three original pipes in the end are to be disappeard). So the can is to shortened from front end, it also should cut lower. Height of the back end seems to be quite ok.

With inseam of 32-33" I've found this piece of art a bit high from seat point of view, I did order a lowering kit ( appx. 1") and installed that yesterday with 2 of my fellow's and at the same time dropped front two line more - at least bike is now low enough.

And as many have noticed the original saddlle is quite ankled - I 'took' those away from the soft part and getting the saddle covered next few days:

I did do few rides with tuned saddle, the pressure from legs inside is gone .....

Today started the project 'hidden exhaust' with real actions, I did have an extra collector (Thanks Tash !) and cut it certain pieces:
