That truly sucks!
It does however happen to the best of us, not including myself.....but a good mate of mine did exactly the same thing leaving a dealership after having his tyres replaced, funnily enough on a GSXR, & before anyone mentions it, no that's not him on you tube.
Good to see the R&G's did their job!
BTW, R&G have stopped selling individual parts, unfortunately you'll need to get the whole set. This was news to me when I enquiried about replacing a front fork protector on my Gen 1 Tuono 2 weeks ago, apparantly this is their new policy for 2011 which is a bit ***** if you ask me.
Anyway, glad no harm came to yourself or your Black Dream.

The Guy in the film is German isn't he. I still fail to realise how he managed to fall off so easily. I had a brand new tyre fitted and heard all the hype about it being slippy etc and got followed home in a total downpour by some ***** about 5 metres from my back wheel doing 70ish came to a roundabout and had visions of me goign arse over *** as he was so close and I ended up going in a bit faster than I felt comfortable with and nowt happened.
Saying that I'm have 2 new Michelin Pilot Road 3's fitted tomorrow and going to try and scrub them in on Sunday a little bit so I will be taking it easy for the 1st few miles. That said as I'm having them fitted in the comfort of my own garage by someone I might give them a little wipe over with something 1st to see if that might help get rid of the surface film.

I did the same on oil at the back of my work on my superdream a few ahhemmm years ago, its over before you know it
For anybody else you can buy the akrapovic strap from calsport for pennies
Look on ebay for the bung some bits come up singly but make sure its the correct side as they are different.
Im gonna mail R&G and tell them what feckin fannies they are, they have forgot what service is and where there money comes from. All they will do is get people buying cheaper ones and loose the business

Cheers Dynamo. £13 for the strap. I've e-mailed them. Bit steep for what it is but titanium's not cheap I suppose.

it's dry though and hasn't rained for a couple of days. Glossops a fair way off Manc btw. Southwards about 30 mins away.
