Hi all, thought I'd put up a few pics of my Aprilias. The first Mille started life as a bog standard w plater, and after a small lowside i rebuilt it and resprayed it to what you see in the first pic. On my second one now, absolutely love them.....

Yeah it wasn't the best of days - I think it was the ECU that caused it!
Melted swing arm surprised me - especially as it wasn't the weld that split. And if you think that's good you
should have seen the end of the rear shock shoot across the road when it exploded!!!
 
I reckon reg/rec wiring ......but holy **** I aint ever seen anything like that before !
 
I don't know what it was, but I owned that bike for 8 years and never touched any of the wiring.
The only thing that may have caused it was that I got stuck behind a combine harvester at 2mph for
about 10 minutes, but temp gauge was normal and the bike didn't feel like it was getting hot.
But I've got my 03 RSVR now so it's not all bad!!

03 in yellow WAS mint!!! Brands Hatch put paid to that - but shouldn't take too long to repair though, had lots of people offering me bits for it so looking hopeful.
 
Just thought I'd add the sixth chapter - little low side at Brands Hatch!!
Have to say I got away with it - not a lot of damage really, and I've already got a replacement Akra can sorted.
Sadly my Dad went into hospital 2 days after this so it's still in the garage at work with a fairing (and probably airbox!!!) full of gravel, but I'll get it stripped and rebuilt quick enough hopefully.

Yeah definitely, my tank wheels and forks all survived without a scratch so I'm going to call that a result!!!

This was mine from silverstone 08
Had to rebuild the brembo radial m'c after
Bent foot peg & clip one
Can just needing cutting down & new banding & was good to go
Did a few piroets before & after this pic

Awesome photo!! It just shows that these Mille's are pretty tough when **** like us let go of them!!!
