Hi all, am considering buying a Tuono [2006/07] having just sold my Yamaha MT-01. Trying to find out a true MPG figure for general cruising, as all i can find online is 35mpg....hope that aint correct ??
Also some idea of the servicing costs at annual and major service intervals ?
Regards - Les

Mpg is a tricky subject for Tuono's. You get so many varied figures you wouldn't think we were talking about the same bike. The average tank range of the bikes on this site is anywhere in between 75-120 ish, till fuel light. I personally average 90-95 miles when filled up sat on the bike till the fuel light comes on[thats a combined trip of razzin and cruisin]. I also achieved the 120 when fully loaded with camping gear and our Maud on the back. :dunno Figures vary wildly with no real reason as to why. Sometimes I get 80 till fuel light, sometimes 110.
But a Tuono will scare the pants off you, give you confidence, take you across Europe, take you to Tesco's, achive warp factor speeds, track day, take all your tackle and the misses easily in its stride. And every time you look at it you'll want to jump on it and fook off for the day.
I know these figures are a bit vague and hopefully someone on here can give you better info than me but when you have your T it won't matter.
Buy one you won't regret it.:thumbup

ps, get a black one cause their fastest.

My Tuono seems to be affected by how hard I'm riding it. If I just cruise around at pretty much the speed limit (55 mph) my low fuel light turns on around 125 miles. That's close to 40 mpg. If I'm really twisting it's tail, I've seen mpg drop to the low 30's.

most ive seen is 120 but its normaly about 105 miles and done 20 miles with the light on and only managed to get 13ltrs in . talked to a mate of mine who rode round with a gallon can and got 50 miles with the light on till he ran out

I've had as low as 75, and tops 96 to the fuel light. Done 30 after that.
I don't give a **** about mpg as the fun you get from the bike is worth every penny.

Nobi! I am in awe:cheers The perfect response to this OP's question. Without doubt the most concise, clever and well thought out reply I have seen from you on these boards. Congratulations my friend.

To Laser Les: Welcome to the Zone. When you buy a Tuono, you will instantly see what we are all babbling about around here.:thumbup

Les, the usual sprocket change and Map 2 will also lower MPG. I imagine most on here are running the 15t front and/or cans.
