you sure its the battery and not yer leads or the solinoid...

if yuasa is for 60 EURos there is a reason for that. why do ppl always buy cheap crap and expect it to be as good as a top product?

I got one ... superb so far .... did you put thread lock on the terminal screws that go into the battery ..... have you charged it before installation
if 04 onwards bike did you do the key on ignition for 15 seconds key off before starting ya bike?

don't know why people Hale yuasa batteries ...I've had loads on other bikes and on the rsv and they all were crap .... I found westco and motobatt far better

I've had lots of Yuasa batteries too they didn't perform any better than normal cheaper jobbies............the battery is only as good as the connections and components connected to it ie. starter motor, solenoid, rectifier or alternator!!

I bought an SVR AGM 14ah jobbie about 18months ago....brilliant bit of kit. ISTR about £110

hate to say this but that's what i thought till i changed the sprag and then the engine spins up like a il4

does it sound like its just speeding up and then nearly stops then goes again?

if so your sprag bearing spring is slack and it just dont work properly.

mines brand new but the bikes going thurs as it decided to throw a rod unfortunately .

so if the battery is fully charged and sounds week its the spag (£100 to fix ) if you have a puller blow torch and some locktite 648

well mr thetruck i only bought it because you guys on this very forum all seem to brag on about how good they are thats why mate.
and i never bought it to save money either i aint that skint , if the motobatt was £100 quid and yuasa was £50 i still would have bought the motobatt thinking if you guys swear by them then they must be good . wrong

you made sure ya charging system is working ok ? ...... maybe you got a duff one...my motobatt seems great so far ....turns the engine over way better than the upgraded from stock Yuasa battery ever did ..... that completely died after 14 months

hi pat , dont think so pat all clean and tight bud,my bike always started first time every time without fail until now never had to worry about it not starting .
gonna stick my old battery back in and charge it up and i bet any money it starts without any problem . i hope lol thing is do we really know how old these batterys are how long have they sat on a shelf somewhere for a few years lol before we get them ? im sure theres no date stamped on mine .

Mebe you did get a duffer who did you buy it off?? After you test ur old battery fully charged and if it starts ok then I'd contact the seller and tell em what you done they should replace it for you........

that is right there is warranty for batteries at least 6 months in EU. anyway i got sick of replacing the battery every 5 months after 2 replacements so i bought the yuasa and no issues so far (14 months)
you must have an own sense for truth man. of course anybody will recomend his battery otherwise he would admit he is a fool (or he will realize later when the probs come). but you know the prices differ for a reason. the chances you get **** battery are just higher with the lower priced models. allthough there might be reasonably good batteries for good prices. therefore i haven't pick a Varta allthough the quality is there no doubts

WTF you talkin about u are recommending Yuasa...........and there are plenty of us who think they are not what they are made out to be........and what makes you the battery expert anyhows..... even though the more expensive battery's will have better quiality control there will always be some that slip through that are duffers....thats just the way it is :dunno

I'm on my third battery now, mine seem to last about three years before they get to the will they won't they start the bike stage, had the Yuasa fitted before so this time thought I would try the Motobatt after they were reccommended on here & it seems to spin the bike over much faster than the Yuasa ever did. So maybe it is just a dud one :confused

i replaced my yausa with a varta 2 years ago, no problems with it atall,I do use a mottobatt in one of my other bikes and no problems with that either.
both get a couple of hours a week on the optimate.
