Mille speed??????

Standard 2000 Mille on stock gearing I got 175 flat out
On 16-44 I got 165
On 15-44 I get 155
I had all the mods going and they make no difference to top end just how it gets there
My speedo is dead on to as we tested it on a rolling road it was funny seeing the bike doing 175 then popping off the limiter

175 on a standard Mille?is that the usual, not seen many knocking that out, that's good mate,I'm definitly going to have to check my gearing

Where do you guys find a quiet straight long enough to get those figures?

159 on my 06, Portimao, at around 9k revs so a bit to go if there wasn't a 100ft elevation change & 90 degree corner in the way.

yeah mine was stanav verified whilst on the autobahns, speedo was 8 miles out at the top
as jaseyb said, the mods dont improve top speed much just get you there faster, still takes and age..and about 6 miles to get the last 15mph out of them, rock steady though lol

can you use your standard chain when changing the gearing f-1 r+2 or will i have to buy a longer chain

I did both on my 02 mille std 108 and also 110 link, i preferred the shorter wheelbase of the std chain, on the other hand ive done the -1 +2 on the v4 just uesterday and i used the 110 link, it would be just too short on the v4 with the standard 108 link
funnily both my 02 mille and the 2010 v4 were over geared as std, with the v4 a little more so, i wasnt even using 5 and 6 gear on my uk road thrashes, its much better now with no clutch slip when starting etc

On standard gearing 02 mille with large tail pack/saddle bags I got 160mph on the autobahns so the book 167mph sounds about right.
Funny thing is my pals were on the latest and greatest Jap thous and were getting 186mph and were just crawling away from me not night and day like you'd expect.

178 on the gps on my "track" mille i said "track" beacause in romania you anly have to put on a front light and a stop light to be roadworthy. and every two years we have to pass the equivalent of you mot hat basically tests the suspension and brakes. 57 tb, renegade, twin akras, evo chip, pc3 mapped on the dyno, modded collector, 17-40 gearing...

Haha that's where he does his top speed, might have to do one of those vids myself

We got places like that round where we are really good place, shame were all spread out could test them against each other

" I know that road" best i have had there was 134, bottle went just in case something appeared from the two junctions just after the bridge.

i was in front at 146 mph and the mate was 142 im sure i had 1 gear left to go but i need to get the power commander fitted and back on the dyno then see how it goes .i dont speed like that much it was just my son asked me to do a fly-by he was fishing at the bridge so couldnt say no lol :biggrin

i hit the first right hander after the glasford turning at 135 and the bike moving all over the place lol need to get the rear shock sorted ,the front ends great .
