Mileage....

Alright guys I just rode from Joshua Texas to Houston Texas went 152 miles the low fuel light came on stopped at 171 miles and filled up topped it off so that fuel was 1/4" above the small opening in the filler neck 5.1 gallons you do the math I come up with 33.5 miles to the gallon. That's with the can and pcIII and wire 16 clipped. Running about 85 most of the time.after I got here I went running around and still have plenty of fuel.also that's on super unleaded with 10% ethanol (all we have around here).

150 miles from a brimmed tank to fuel light is easily acheivable for motorway / touring riding. Spiritied road riding would see that drop down to around 110 to 120 miles.

Most people don't fill their tank up to to maximum capacity, so there's always a few litres difference between full tanks

Anyone whose getting less than 80 miles to a tankfull on the road i suggest has some fueling issues as this is around 20 miles per gallon

A power commander is only as good as the map that's loaded onto it, so if your getting poor mpg figures with one fitted, then i'd ask whoever specified the map to recheck it on a dyno !

I seem to be getting close to the same either way. Put 144 of backroads the other day and the light didn't come on. As for fueling I figure if I'm stopping go ahead and make the best of it.lol

american gallons are different, his 33.5 mpg is 40.2 in the proper imperial gallons.... i get between 90 and 120 out of my 02 ( standard apart from slip-on )

Hey now whats wrong with my us gallons. Lol jk. So when we buy a gallon for $3.50 we are getting more fuel than when y'all buy a gallon? How much do y'all pay for the imperial gallons? Taking into account that tally $ is worth more than our $ I'm just curious as to how it actually plays out. Thanks for the insight.

fuel in scotland at moment is £1.36 a litre x5 litres makes a gallon...£6.80 ...eek twice as much as you boys lol

Which at the current exchange rate makes that around $11.15 a gallon :-0

I always knew we were getting screwed in this country but this just drives it home :-(

WOW that's crazy. I figured with our economy and the dollar being down there would be a difference but not that big!

This makes me wonder what is elsewhere??? Anyone on here from other places willing to chime in? Cost per gallon? Us gallon or imperial gallons?

Welcome to the back end of the world where men are men and sheep are scared and the men get shafted every day from the big man in charge makes you proud to be British(****):devious:thumbup:biggrin

converting to us gallons at todays exchange rate that is $8.33 a gallon in Britain... that is a stitch up... but in portugal over the weekend and it is more expensive over there... 1.56 euros a litre which is over $11 a US gallon.

For all those who have been complaining of low milage from their V-twins.
2006 CBR1000RR, PCIII running yoshi map, Yoshi gp-force can and K&N filters -
120 miles until fuel light, thats usually £20 to fill.

I'm in NZ, got an 01 Mille with PowerCommander, K&N and Aprilia Titanium Race exhaust. Getting about 120Km from a tank riding spiritedly, riding sedately I get about 150... Costs $30 to fill on 98RON

I get around 100 to 120 never more than that... I was thinking of putting a toggle switch on so i can switch between maps for more economical riding when needed...

my street mille is a stock one except a k&n air filter and the blue wire cut. in "cruise mode" i get 6 liters/100 kms. that means a sustained speed of 130 kmph and an average of 85-90 kmh (depends on traffic). the fuel tank holds 22 liters (in the manual it says less but i don't know why) and it costs 130 Lei (RON in currency terms), equivalent to 28.47E. so a litre costs 1.3 E
