Did undecided at the moment. Love the rsvr to bits. its cracking bike it really is.
I ride all year round and every winter the bike gets a kicking from the salt and cold! come spring the bike looks crap and I have to spend my money on replacing routine stuff and cant afford the nice bits again.

im thinking I might sell up and get either car for work or anothe bike that im not to bothered about then get another rsvr next year.

Anyways, if I do sell up, what do you guys think a good price would be or my 01 rsvr mille :)

7 months mot, 6 month tax, good tyres. will need new chain sprokets 18k just on the clocks, history, datatagged. mainly standard.

any ball park figures would be good. Like I said im not sure yet.

Judging by some of the prices on Pistonheads and Gumtree you should be looking for around £3500 mate.

I reckon that you could easily get £3K.

But don't do it, you'll always wish you hadn't if you do sell up.

Don`t do it matey, keep hold of the Mille !

Might sound daft, but how about keeping the beast and getting hold of maybe a scooter for work, or an old car ? You`d be surprised what £500 can bring you these days.

Then just do the same with the old car........stick it away for the summer, and use the Mille.............win/win situation ! :thumbup

The thing with bikes mate, is that they`re in your blood, and they`re NOT just transport, like anything with wheels would be for most people, and if your Mille is worth 3.5k (ish), you`ll only have to fork out the same money again when you come to buy another Mille............which I can guarantee you`ll want to at the first sign of a dry road and a break in the clouds come next spring.

Keep the Mille mate.................you know it makes sense ! :thumbup

dont sell it mate......you'll regret it

dex is the man!! for sure!! its not just about transport mate.....buy a little ****** car, but keep the bike mate...its a strong one yours dude!!

wise words lads . . . yup, buy yaself some cheap as city derby car that ya dont give a rats about for the wet pissin days orf winta, and rip the RSV out on those majic sunny mornings for a blast thru the lanes and so as ya can hear that sweet sound of ya twin pot Ape massaging yer ear lugs mate :D

Aus .................................. you've obviously not been to the UK then ;) :biggrin

Keep it Garvey and get an old stinker commuter bike - old bandit or summat will probably run you 500-1k notes mate.

I use a Honda CG EVERY day for work(40miles a day) and the week petrol bill is usually around £11 - £13 depending on how windy it is! Mind you, i got some VERY funny looks from dealers when they asked what bike i already have when buying a CG and they got RSVR as an answer!!!:dunno:nana

Yeah Might have a look about for a a rev and go 250 scooter. A cheap bangers not the option as I havent had my own insurance on a car for a good couple of years and the cheapest I can get on a 850cc car was 250 quid! I only pay 76 on the bike :)

Garv don't do it mate - get a little trailiie for commuting and fun on the ranges - it'll make the Mille seem even more awesome when you take it out at weekends:thumbup

Well the missus says no about buying another tool for work! having a re-think!

F**k me this sounds like a crisis - don't sell it! Tell your wife you px'd it for the CG125 and leave the Mille parked in my garage:thumbup

top idea Mike :) havent ridden a Cg for many a year. back in the day of the C90's. god the c90 could wheelie :)

Yeah, I used to have a C90 back in the days when I had a Norton Commando - needed the C90 because something was always broken on the Commando and a bike was my only transport!
Some things don't change - I guess that's why I've now got 2 RSV's:pirate

C90 Wheelie technique - perch on back of seat, max revs then slam foot on rocker pedal, yeah, I remember.
