not been to happy with the bikes handling for a while now so yesterday decided to change the tyres. had corsa 111s on but after talking to a few people spent the mortgage money on a pair of 2cts, what a difference !!!!! bike totaly transformed, did 100 mile after having them fitted so much confidence and feel you can lean it over for ever. the rear 190 must have a slightly different profile to the pirelli as it just kisses the chain guard but nowt to worry about. met up with beechy at squires who'd just put some metzelers on and he rated them too £50 cheaper than michelins. went for a short run around the twisty bits, that beechys quick !! reckon he'd be fast runnin around on the rims.:thumbup

I have the Michelin 2ct's, on my 02 mille r, and my 02 TLR, I tell everybody that the 2ct's are the best street tire on the market period!!!!!

what rear size do you have? 50/55?

i have the 190/50/17's, but i have thought about running a 190/55 next time.

good luck with them, and they feel even better with a 1K+ on them!!!!!!!!!!!

hi mate, its the 50 on the rear been itchin to get out all day but its bin stottin it down all day,:rant sorry raining hard

I rate 2cts on a 180.......grip is phenomenal and been upto the TT and they havent even started to square off yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had Metzlers M1s on before but they died after 1500 kms!!! super sticky tho

I'm running in the 2ct's just now and have to say i absolutely love them. loads of grip :biggrin

And i've heard they last a fair old time too. Bit pricey like, £212 fitted is cheapest i found.

Its not me thats quick its the bike :devious:devious Its certainly got a lot more capability than I have but tyres make a huge difference cos it starts and finishes in yer head really.
Got to say I always swear by 2CTs lots of feel and grip in dry and in damp (try not to do wet).
Only went to Metzelers because of the discount offered (theyve just cut them by £50) and Steve at Bike Tyres Leeds recommendation (Ride in - ride out £235ish for 2Cts vs £206 for Sportec M3s) and I love em, love em, love em. :thumbup:thumbup
All except for the elephants they've embossed on the edges where 2Cts have the arrows (who the F@@K thought little Dumbos would enhance the look of anything esp. tyres:confused) - but as RSVR64 will vouch am doing my best to get them 'erased' :biggrin:biggrin
