Former Formula1 Champion,*Michael Schumacher,*has called off his plans to race this weekend at Lausitzring in Germany in the*German IDM Championship*on Holzhauer Racing’s Honda CBR1000RR. Schumacher had been offered the seat on the factory backed Honda team back in November, and prior to that has been seen taking laps on both Hondas and Ducatis in the past.

While testing on the track in Cartagena, Spain last February, Schumacher had a big off that has laid question to his entering into the German Superbike Championship (IDM) this year. With the first race only a few days away, the German has announced that his current condition isn’t fit to race, and he will have to*forgo*racing at the Lausitzring.

“I had to call it off, I am still not healthy enough.*I can just about ride a bicycle. When I have to move my neck quickly, I am limited.”
