Meta alarm problems

I have been away for the last 3 months and had my brother start my bike for me. However the last time he did it the alarm went off and would not stop. Being very non tech he shut the garage door and left it for me to fix once I got back

I'm now back and have charged the bike battery. Now I can't seem to get anything from the alarm? All I get is the hazards coming on then off then on etc etc. I can't start the bike!

Any ideas?

Well my meta alarm finally gave up the ghost , and to be honest I totally removed it in the end , easy to do just follow all the wiring connections . Or get an auto electrician to remove only take 30 mins but you may be lucky and its something simple .
They do come with a master code on a red piece of plastic key ring , which gives you a way of disarming it totally by pressing the remote the right number of times in numerical sequence ie " 1234 etc

I'm tempted to pull it out. I don't really need it. So just find the unit and pull all wires off from the unit to the loom

you need too find out where the installer has wired it in to the loom he may have solder joined them usually under the seat area around the battery, but also some of the wires will be cut so that the alarm interupts the loom and main units ie : fuel pump, starter , ignition etc . So find them then remove the alarm wires and reconnect them, easy to find as the alarm will be all black wires where as the Aprilia wires will be various colour codes , usually all under the seat unit area

As eddie says, deff get rid of the unit, they are nothing but trouble and do more harm than good. Then get yourself a good lock and chain if yer still worried!

think that confirms it, ill start the hacking soon, just hope i dont mess the electrics up lol
