I usually work on saturdays and am always off on mondays and tuesdays, thus the Hastings one, plus it's local.

You are kidding aren't you Rye's the place for decent fish and Chips.
I won't be doing the Mayday run and haven't now for the last 10 years or so too many people with more enthusiasm than ability trying to prove something in my back yard so to speak, I'll be heading in the opposite direction away from bikes, Police and ambulances.
To whoever does go have a great day but treat the roads with some respect. If any of you do go down stop in at Battle Fire Station they have started a Sunday (and bankholiday) drop in free tea etc.
I did the Hastings run last year and never saw any loonies on the roads, just a load of bikers having sensible fun.

Did you venture out of town towards Rye, Camber and Brenzett?
The year that did it for me was watching a guy dying on the A259 in 98 due to enthusiasm getting the better of physics.

I always stick to the rules Pete, a time and a place for that kind of behaviour. Have been doing the Hastings May day run for years now and never once been tugged for reckless riding, care and consideration to the conditions usually means you'll live to fight another day.
No worries although my rides are never planned thanks to a busy family life, maybe an hour thrash on a Sunday if my boys aren't riding their MX bikes.
My favorite time to ride is weekdays when everybody else is at work.
Only rides I plan are trackdays.
I did the first trackday this year and first one on my Factory Tuesday gone at Brands, wicked bike around a track hardly adjusted the suspension since setting sag and geometry.
I saw a few RSVs during the day anybody from this forum there?

The place is the Blue Dolphin fish bar, opposite the children funfare. The only reason people think the fish is good in Rye, is because there is only one place there, and the queue is usually around the block.
I much prefer the Fish and chips in Rye not soggy like most of the chips in Hastings and the fish tastes much better IMO although I've had to cut right back on my consumption.
Although I will admit the Blue Dolphin is one of the better ones in Hastings.
