that might explain a few things, although I only commute these days I will try dropping to 33/36

If you set the pressures to the usual 36F and 42R, it will handle like a bag of *****. I found that out after having new tyres fitted, and wrongly assumed the mechanic knew what the pressures should be. Now I always take a gauge with me, just to make sure.

I use Bridgestone BT21 with 33F/36R too. Definitely worth getting an accurate gauge and use it regularly.

As been said, the standard oe tyre pressures 36/42 , feels orrible on this bike

Never had that problem and I wore mine down to the belts. But different folks ride in different ways so its all good.

No, I just like getting my money's worth !. Truth is I knew I needed tyres urgently but was tight on funds then the car broke down so had to ride to work and take the risk....not smart and I admit it but beggers cant be choosers as they say (well thats my defence)

luckily you didnt get a puncture, it nearly always happens when tyre is well worn..oh and officer, I have no tread left cos I backed it in to the last corner all on the back brake lol lol
