lowering kit

No I cant, hence the tippy toes.
Yes I do.
Yes, but I try to be safe when stopping.
Yes.
Additionally, I try to leave the stand down when I climb on because when I take a big swing to get my leg over & I have nearly dropped it a couple of times.
Maybe you need a lowering kit hahahaha

Only got a short inside leg meself but never found it bothered me if I couldn't get both feet down.... Had a Honda dominator and two 955I tigers.... but our lass has her SV lower than a worms ****, then has the seat sculptured to make it lower still, I must admit does it makes a big difference to her riding/confidence, I think it's knowing she can get both plates o meat on the deck when she stalls it :lol..... I just fall over:thumbup

Only 5' 6" meself .... I bought another seat from fleabay n attacked it with an electric knife ... lowered by 20 mm but still get the ground clearance and can touch the floor as well !!

hi tptuono no my kit isnt adjustable, what i did was lowered the rear shock as low as pos then took hight measurements front and back, put the lowering kit on then done the same again it was 35mm lower at the back, so i droped the front forks 5 rings that droped the front 20mm, so i lifted the back up on the shock again to get it to 20mm front and back, now i can touch the floor with both feet at the same time just my toes and balls of my feet not flat feet and it feels good.

olaftuono as you said you nearly droped your bike a couple of times when geting on it, and then can only touch the floor with your tippy toes. why dont you stop fannying about and get a lowering kit.

If early pioneers had your attitude they would never had got on a horse or rode a penny farthing, never mind ging to the moon.
Not being able to touch the floor properly never bothered them.
I also have a Honda Dominator & rode push bikes that were far too big when I was a child.
And yes Pikey, when I was "younger", I did wear platform boots.

Olaf, I used to have platforms, wouldn't reckon they'd be much good fir the T though. I've got a ktm exc and I've got to keep a lookout for a handy boulder to start and stop at. If yer think the T's bad yer want to try one of them feckers.

Great bikes O, not so easy for the vertically challenged though especially kick starting them. :no

You are not joking there. It had a missfire issue that took 3 new electronic ignition stators to sort (plus numerous other issues)
I nearly had a heart attack several times trying to that that thing.
A left side kick start & no stand at all does not help.

You have no interest in lowering your bike which is up to you and none of my business. But you think it is your business to throw insults on this site to owners who choose to lower theirs. You could have contributed some opinion without insults or kept out of the post.

:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol made my morning, thanks:thumbup

My attitude is each to their own. Up to me what I want to do and not do to my bike. I don't have the problem myself but my neighbour does and he wished he hadn't bought such a tall bike as he has. He finds it hard taking a pillion and has to stop at a kerb when he does and think about where he's stopping.

To me that isn't enjoyent really but like I said I don't have that issue.

Surely the whole point is to ride the bike you own and enjoy so if you want to lower it to enjoy it thats fine. The speeds we should all ride on the roads wont affect ground clearance that much if its lowered anyway.

PS Newelly if you read this post Urban Cammo is fine mate. Each to their own

I must apologise for upsetting some forum members.
