So, picked up my new bike on Sunday - a 2005 RSV R Factory. This is my first litre bike and I'm coming from a year on a VFR800FI after a year on a 125.
Was an easy choice to make. So much bike for £4k - forged wheels, ohlins, twin akros, stunning looks and dripping with carbon. Looks like I've got a well loved example - only 7,300 miles in over ten years. All the electrical gremlins seem to have been addressed - brown plugs changed, uprated leads and a bigger battery.
And then I rode it. Feels like I've just put a set of bars on the apocalypse itself and I'm laying waste to everything in my path. Only pootled it home really, but opened it up a bit - the v twin is fantastic. Will be easing myself into it gradually, don't want to get carried away and regret it! Looking forward to getting to know it over the coming months.
