Thanks Aldo,

I managed to turn the 120 mile ride home into 200 !! all on dry roads and warm sunshine.

It was an enjoyable ride.
First impressions -
Loved the riding position.
Pulls in any gear
Slippery seat - arse slid back when bike under hard acceleration
Wooden back brake - not much feedback
Sidestand was loads better than I expected
Puig screen does a good job
Cans quieter than I expected
120miles from full till the fuel light came on
Will have to adjust the suspension as wee bit hard

Roll on some good weather !!

Glad you had fun on your first ride
I noticed when I test-rode a couple of T's that some had slippery seats and some didn't - mine is fine; Im sure some of the regulars on here will have some useful knowledge to impart.
Im surprised your back brake only felt wooden - all mine does is turn the light on...
...if you are getting 120 miles to the fuel light you arent trying hard enough ;-)

Ditto.
- Always a good sign when a first run of 120 miles becomes 200.
- That said, only managed to travel 141 miles on first ride (with a Gen 1), but over mountain in Wales in sub-zero temps in late Dec... and still grinning from ear to ear. Which probably explains the 103mpg consistently clocked on the first 3 full tanks.

My seats slippery too... maybe it's been polished with abundant use of torque... but aren't they all! ;)

Thought my back brake was bad... but it does do a bit more than turn the light on... :)
- Surprised that it felt pretty warm after a recent run though front disks were cool... back brake 'friction' seems a rare characteristic!

Found my single Yoshi can without baffle too loud in town... bouncing off all the brickwork (not to mention neighbours houses), and even avenues of trees... so recently bunged in an aftermarket baffle (albeit wrecked half doz 'titanium' coated drill bits boring through the S/S can nozzle to fit retaining bolt). Drops sound on start up/town by approx. 6 - 8 dB... but still seems 'sufficiently' loud on full bore... :thumbup

Re. Tips...
The best thing you can buy for your Tuono is petrol!

Rode it to work on Thursday, somehow turned a 42 mile round trip into 80 miles !!
Fuel light came on (surprise surprise) managed 26 miles on reserve, brimmed it with 15.5 liters of Shell V Power, hoping to use that up today !!
While I'm here, I was going through the menus to change the time on the clock when I found suspension settings showing readings for front & rear - is this accurate ?

what to call you? is it "no." or mr Skidog? 2007 factory, 4k miles.....nice

if you do a search you'll find you'll kinds of things to check inc rear shock bearings, oil levels, fork seals etc. there's a hints page called Tuono All you Need to know......plus you'll also get lots of abuse and ribbing, but I guess that's par for the course.
